The Energy Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South Constituency said "I don’t know but as far as we can see, the project is an ongoing project, so, it’s not about finances, it’s just that if you’re renovating your house, sometimes, it’s more complicated and it’s more expensive than even building a new house” He further explained that some lines got strung. Touching on the 2021 budget, he revealed that means have been put in place to ensure that provisions are made for the ongoing system upgrades. “In the budget of this year, it is clearly talked about in system improvement all over the country, so, we are going to continue to improve the systems that have been strung since the 50s till we get it done”. Dr. Prempeh said “We should all be truthful in our communication. In 2016, the whole country, they gave us periods that we were off and on. In 2016, the government of the day told us that it was a generation problem. In 2016, even the opposition talked about the government not having money to buy fuel. This is not a generation problem, this is not about fuel, so, how could it be dumsor?” Hammering on dumsor, the Energy Minister said “Is there dumsor? I would ask you. Is it the dumsor that you have known and come to live with that is happening in the country" he questioned. • COVID-19 Vaccines: Is Gov't Getting Quality For Its Money Or Must It Take A Second Look At Pricing?

In fact, the race of every nation to find the best medium to subdue the deadly COVID-19 virus from causing further harm to citizens has been intensified over the past couple of months. A good sign that governments are really on their toes to face what seems to be a losing fight against the virus, as nations continue to see the crippling effect. Scientists are working hard to bring out vaccines to fight the already known variants out there, but, this microscopic organism evolves vigorously into another form just to continue to do more damage to humanity. What’s our sin? Therefore, it can be safe to say humanity is confused and seems the virus is winning. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/my-surname-is-john-not-rawlings-ex-prez-rawlings-reveals Governments can’t declare victory yet because there’s nothing to boast of when it comes to the fight against COVID-19, maybe humanities persistence is leading to further resistance from the virus. Aside from the vaccines roll out, locking citizens down to prevent gathering and mass movement has helped to a certain extent but economic fortunes are being affected in the long run, another headache. Being head of state in this period is actually like arriving at the slaughterhouse and begging for mercy, voters want to be fed with the good news of victory in the midst of this chaotic situation, in simple terms; COVID-19 has been defeated, but will that ever happen? Aside from the lockdown, vaccination has become the frequently used word and most countries are either developing their vaccines for citizens or buying from nations that have the muscles to develop and deliver on time. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/local-news-rawlings-funeral-postponed-indefinitely Ghana has started receiving its batches of COVID-19 vaccines, and the government has promised citizens of safety, and the determination for at least over 20 million people to be vaccinated before 2021 finally bids goodbye to us forever. Which is a good step by the government as the disease continues to change shape after a year of causing pure agony to humanity. Many will argue that Africa hasn’t felt the real impact of the virus yet, but isn’t prevention better than cure? If you asked anyone this question, the answer will obviously be a Yes. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/breaking-news-j-j-rawlings-dies-at-73 The effort being made by the Ghana government needs to be applauded, so far the first batch has arrived, and many tabloids have reported the arrival of the new batch. The President and other prominent personalities have been seen on our screens taken the shot to inspire citizens to go out there to do the same when the time comes. But another question that would be asked often in relation to the vaccines that are being purchased by the government mostly points to whether the right vaccines are being delivered at the right price. Stand to be corrected; an inner source whispered the other day that, the normal price on the market range between $10 per dose for the Sputnik V. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/registered-voters-can-access-their-details-on-the-ec-website-ussd-code-android-mobile-apps-ec However, the source states that, the same Sputnik V is being sold to government for $44 per dose. With Sheik Umar Farooq (A name provided by the source) said to be led negotiator for the deal. As to the truth to this, one is left in the dilemma, only time can tell. However, who is Sheikh Umar Farooq? is he the same international fraudster who continues to scam his way to the top in Ghana and Africa now? READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/opinion-how-did-we-get-here Is the same guy whose name popped up some years back with Ministry of Power in Ghana with the controversial Ameri Deal with regards to an inflated price on a power deal? If you do a quick google search on Sheikh Umar Farooq “Fraud” 100 of articles will show up on his organized fraud activities in Pakistan, Norway, Turkey and many other African countries. He was once wanted by the Interpol now by many other security agencies, wanted for kidnapping even his own twin daughters from Pakistan. He is now a partner/ special advisor to Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/rudiger-dismissed-from-easter-sunday-training-by-coach-tuchel-after-a-bust-up-with-kepa-arrizabalaga The question is why Ghanaian Government is not putting a stop on Farooq? Maybe the business people will have more to say on the price variations with one sight on profit for whoever negotiated the deal but you can’t also, blame the government because “maybe” the needed research has not been done before ordering the purchase. That leads to the question of who is throwing dust in the eyes of the government, should the government take a second look at the pricing of the doses of vaccines purchase, is the government getting the right vaccines for the money spent? • Rudiger Dismissed From Easter Sunday Training By Coach Tuchel After A Bust-Up With Kepa Arrizabalaga

One defeat and a training ground fight is all it takes for the momentum to vanish and Chelsea suffered both over the weekend. Hot on the heels of the capitulation against West Bromwich Albion, Thomas Tuchel ordered Antonio Rudiger to stop training early on Sunday after he had a fight with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. There was pushing and arguing between the pair, neither of whom played in the defeat by West Brom, when tempers flared in training and Tuchel sent his defender into the changing rooms shortly before the end of the session to calm down. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/champions-league-bayern-s-lewandowski-set-to-miss-psg-quarter-final The row kicked off during a small-sided game when Rudiger went in late on Kepa, who reacted badly but was allowed to see out the session. Rudiger apologised to Kepa later on and Tuchel is satisfied that the incident is dealt with. Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James are also said to have been involved in a heated discussion in the dressing room immediately after the game. Tuchel admitted post-match that things got heated but that clearly carried over into Sunday's session. ‘After 14 matches unbeaten, we cannot lose our head,’ Tuchel said. ‘After the game, it was the moment to be honest but to be calm and to breathe. It is our first loss together. It is important to find a way to deal with it together. But the Blues can fall to fifth tonight if West Ham win at Wolves. ‘We were aware when we started the day that we were in a position to lead the race, to put pressure on others,’ said Tuchel. ‘And so the opposite is now the case.’ READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/live-turn-unto-ghana-oh-lord-and-have-mercy-on-us-aglow-gh-international-video Of greater concern after 14 games unbeaten under their new coach will be a fear that Sam Allardyce has delivered a blueprint of how to rattle Tuchel’s Chelsea. With two up front, West Brom hustled Jorginho and the defenders into mistakes in a way some teams tried to upset the rhythm of Maurizio Sarri’s side when he was in charge. Thiago Silva was sent off after collecting two yellows and both fouls were in reaction to possession lost in defensive areas. The second goal scored by Matheus Pereira, to put the visitors 2-1 up in first-half stoppage time came when James and Jorginho were caught playing out of tight space in defence. Once ahead, Albion were quick and clinical on the counter-attack to leave Allardyce purring about how the quality of his team’s finishing will ‘shock’ their relegation rivals and wondering aloud about springing another great escape. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/criminality-on-lgbt-is-non-negotiable-and-our-cultural-practices-frowns-on-it-adwoa-safo-pics At Chelsea, the self-analysis was already under way. ‘We did not adapt to the situation at all,’ said Tuchel, who having tinkered with his team selection, then tinkered with his 10 men in search of the best formation. ‘I had the feeling we struggled completely. We wanted to start in a 4-3-2 to play with counter-attacks and two strikers. That worked out not so well because we conceded a lot of crosses, so we went for 4-4-1, a very classic style if you’re one man down. ‘Then we conceded two super easy goals. The first goal was far too easy. We didn’t catch the momentum to be one man down, to be closer, to make it hard to create chances and to wait for ball-wins and to counter-attack. ‘So we changed to a back three/five in the second half because it gives us more security, but the defending was simply not on a level we are used to. This was the day where everything went wrong that could go wrong.’ READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/accra-aglow-ghana-defies-rain-holds-first-intercessory-prayer-after-lockdown-pictures These problems included a hamstring injury for Christian Pulisic ahead of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Porto on Wednesday, and the day ended with statements from both clubs condemning racist abuse on social media aimed at West Brom’s Callum Robinson, who scored twice in the second half at Stamford Bridge.
