    A student of Asare Bediako Senior High, Micheal Dakora has been sentenced to a 15-year prison sentence by an Obuasi court. From the narrations of Police Commander, DSP Martin Asenso said on the 8 of April, the victim, Bernard Appiah reported an issue at the police station in Obuasi that two guys have snatched his motor. According to the victim, he is a commercial motor rider, who took the snatchers from where they were to a certain town called Okatetsieso.   • High Court Set Date For Akuapem Poloo’s Appeal

    An Accra High Court has set the date to hear the appeal filed by the lawyer of actress, Rosemond Alade Brown, aka, Akuapem Poloo jailed 90 days for posting her nude picture with her son on Instagram. Rosemond, through her lawyer, Mr. Andy Vortia, has also filed a substantive appeal against her (Rosemond’s) sentence. A report filed by GNA said the two applications would be heard by Criminal Court One (High Court division) on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. On April 16, this year, Rosemond was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment by an Accra Circuit Court after she pleaded guilty to the offenses preferred against her. The court convicted Rosemond on her own plea after she was remanded into police custody to undergo a pregnancy test ahead of the sentencing.     Kumawood actor and entrepreneur, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has described as “poor judgment” the decision by the Accra Circuit Court to jail Ghanaian actress, Akuapem Poloo. Akuapem Poloo was sentenced to 90 days imprisonment on Friday, April 16, 2021, by the Court for publishing a nude photo of herself and her six-year-old son. She was also sentenced for domestic violence. The actress had published the picture on social media in June 2020 and was sued subsequently by a non-governmental organization, Child Rights International.
