- "Unless He Is 100% Gay, There Is No Such Thing As A Man And Woman Being Besties" – Princess Shyngle
Gambian Actress Princess Shyngle has said that unless a man is 100 percent gay, there is no way he and a woman can be besties without them engaging in sexual activities. - OPINION: Fix Yourselves!!! Buy A Proper Bullion Van Else.....Government Tells Banks
If leadership is everything, then the effect is what we are seeing today. Total irresponsibility, shifting goalposts, and putting the cart before the horse. A single-life loss is one too many. Any attempt to quickly rubbish or sweep things under the carpet must not be entertained. Whatever the issues, we will never love another country more than ours. Yes, all hands must be on deck. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/bui-power-ceo-is-wrong-the-energy-minister-has-not-been-misled-by-gridco However, we must acknowledge there is a state of insecurity in Ghana. That is the issue on the table that needs to be addressed my dear Inspector General of police. If people are talking about fix things, you don't through words back to them to fix themselves. How can the poor mobile money vendor fix himself or herself when they are also being shot at. Do they also need a bullion van to dispense their money? Let's have the humility to accept how bad we have sunk and how we can come together and get things fixed. Leadership must show the way and we don't need an intermediary or a contractor to do this. Low hanging fruits must not be plugged using a scaffold. - BoG, IGP Clash Over Attack On Bullion Vans (Screenshots)
A statement issued by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) on December 24, 2020, shows it directed all Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) and Specialized Deposit-Taking Institutions (SDIs) to secured armoured bullion vans in a move to combat robbery attacks. All DMBs and SDIs had up to July 2023 to comply with the BoG directive, the statement indicated. This follows series of attacks on bullion vans carting cash which most often results in the death and injury of drivers and police officers. Although all DMBs and SDIs have up to July 2023 to comply with the BoG directive, they were expected to take immediate measures to secure the armoured bullion vans to prevent loss of lives, currency, and destruction of sophisticated equipment which then became a national security concern. "BoG further directs all DMBs and SDIs should comply with the above directive by 1st July 2013 after which BoG will not admit any soft-skinned CIT vehicle into its premises nationwide," the statement emphasised. - “The Socio-Political Crisis In Mali Remains A Priority For Our Region” – S. Ayorkor Botchwey (Video)
The Chair of the Mediation and Security Council of the Economic Community of the West African States (ECOWAS), Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has hinted that the current socio-political crisis in Mali remains a priority for the Region. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 46th Ordinary Meeting of The ECOWAS Mediation and Security Council at The Ministerial Level, she said “That Respect, I Would Like to Commend the work done by the Mediator, H.E. Goodluck Jonathan, Former President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria. the implementation of the decisions taken at the extraordinary summit of 30th May 2021 in Accra, Ghana. Will be critical in bringing stability in Mali and in our Region” She also added that during the meeting, ECOWAS will examine proposals to establish the Forum of National Security advisors which will reinforce the security architecture of our region. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/facemask-coda-boss-urges-police-to-enforce-laws Madam Ayorkor Botchwey further stressed that various actions to ensure concrete and full operationalization of the region’s maritime center will be examined, in view of the deteriorating security in the Gulf of Guinea. “As usual, we will have an update on the implementation of the National Early Warning Center, and on the humanitarian situation in our region. I am confident that our deliberations today as a community will allow us to make greater progress in bringing peace and security in our region” The ECOWAS Chair also noted that the opening ceremony will deliberate on critical issues such as the political and security situation in the region with the objective of making recommendations for the consideration of the Authority of Heads of State and Government. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/local-news-coda-outdoors-credit-union-to-support-informal-sector-pictures She explained that the Mediation and Security Council session is taking place against the backdrop of converging potentially existential threats to the region, which could undermine our regional integration process. “Attacks by terrorists and extremist groups are worsening and cascading across the region, leaving no Member State spared as a potential target. On the political front, the region is concluding a major electoral cycle in which, while all the polls eventually ended peacefully, they were nonetheless characterized, at times, by tensions. The COVID-19 pandemic has also added a new layer of complexity, threatening social cohesion, the welfare of citizens, and economic recovery” Speaking on challenges of peace and security, she revealed that despite ECOWAS’ strong actions, the security environment across the region has witnessed increasing terrorist attacks. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/bui-power-ceo-is-wrong-the-energy-minister-has-not-been-misled-by-gridco She stressed that from the Sahel region through the Lake Chad Basin, attacks from terrorists and violent extremists have morphed with banditry, kidnapping, farmer-herder dynamics, and transnational organized crime to leave a trail of death, destruction, despair, and fear among the populations. “This is particularly the case in the frontline states of Burkina, Mali, Niger, and Nigeria where these deadly attacks have occurred. No Member State is spared as a potential target. The recent attacks in Burkina which led to 132 deaths among the civilian population, including children, is the latest example of this situation. Indeed, the terrorist groups are currently testing border defenses of coastal nations with a view to extending their reach to the Member States along the Gulf of Guinea” The Chair who doubles as the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration noted that the Gulf of Guinea itself has recorded the highest incidents of piracy and related maritime criminality in the world. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/amplified-will-focus-on-amplifying-mentoring-youth-dev-t-activities-in-various-quarters-gov-t She mentioned that the evolving developments in Chad, which straddles the Lake Chad Basin and the G5-Sahel countries, and the recent developments in Mali, could add an aggravating element to the security situation facing the region. “Turning to the state of Democracy and Good Governance in our region, we note that West Africa has made a measurable improvement in democracy with the successful conduct of elections in the several Member States. Despite the challenges and restrictions necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the region managed to maintain the calendars of the constitutionally mandated electoral processes, which have become the norm in the region. In the period under review, Benin and Niger held Presidential elections, while Cabo Verde held legislative elections. This adherence to electoral calendars, with the support of ECOWAS electoral assistance, is helping to consolidate regional democratic culture” she said. The Chair also said “During the period, in accordance with its modus operandi, our Community through the Commission made arrangements to promote dialogue between stakeholders before and after elections. It also provided electoral assistance to all the Member States organizing elections through technical and financial support, advisory roles, and the deployment of election observer missions. In that regard, the reconstitution of the Council of the Wise, which was inaugurated in Accra on 24 May 2021, is a step in the right direction” READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/provide-fortified-armoured-vehicles-for-carting-currencies-or-lose-police-escort-igp-warns-banks Thinknewsonline.com has also gathered that the Council of the Wise will be lending the needed support by engaging stakeholders in order to prevent socio-political crises well before they erupt and lead to violence. - OPINION: The James Town Bullion Van Attack, A Sad Story Of A Police Officer And A Hawker
Remember the tale of the singing bird who will not listen to any advice from the tortoise through the climbing plant. Yes, it was the first to be shot dead, but it endangered the tortoise and the climbing plant. No one is an island. My condolences to the families of these two individuals. May their souls rest in peace. The level of impunity and bravado that is creeping up in robberies is worrying, and we are all not safe. Was the hawker involved in the transfer of the money? - OPINION: Stop Disrespecting And Dictating For President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo!
The people of Sefwi-Akontombra woke up on Friday 4th June 2021 to read an all intriguing publication on adomonline.com at exactly 2:30 PM with a Heading; Sefwi NPP Threatens to Collapse Party if ... Inasmuch as the heading of the said publication was factually inaccurate and misrepresentative, it is imperative on us to dwell heavily on the content of the publication which we deem worthy of responding accordingly by righting the palpably blatant and ignorantly wrongs that seem to be grossly disrespecting, belittling, undermining and dictating for the appointing authority of the Republic of Ghana and to a larger extent threaten the President if the name of the incumbent District Chief Executive is not nominated or mentioned by the President for the second time. We want to, and on behalf of the Youth of Sefwi Akontombra New Patriotic Party (NPP) offer a sincerest and unqualified apology unconditionally to the president of the Republic of Ghana and after distance, ourselves from the said Malicious and Mischievous publication and its content holistically. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/we-believe-our-little-contribution-will-help-alleviate-some-of-your-plights-hayford-attah-krufi In all honesty, one would wonder how some minority groups within a section of constituency executives and the membership of the party in a constituency will embark on that intelligently deficient, shallow, and hollow media engagement ostensibly sponsored by the incumbent District Chief Executive against his superior, employer and the President of Ghana. We consider this as complete insubordination, disrespectfulness at the apex level, uncouth, irrelevant, unnecessary, and erroneous on the part of the said executives and the incumbent District Chief Executive. They should learn to know better to appreciate the powers that be as vested in the bosom of the President and that, no amount of threats will, and can surpass the express will and choice of the President. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/empire-star-bryshere-gray-sentenced-to-jail-in-domestic-violence-case We want to categorically state without fear and for the avoidance of doubts and purposes of clarity and education as follows; 1. That, no one nor group of people or individuals can dictate to the president of the land in his quest towards the selection processes of the District Chief Executive position! 2. That, no man born of a woman can threaten the President in the name of collapsing the party we all serve and duly sacrificed for in our respective areas of operation before voted into office! READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/we-suspect-arson-targeted-at-destruction-and-concealment-of-material-evidence-at-tano-south-ndc 3. That, No District Chief Executive nor some minority sections of party executive perpetrating lawlessness, indiscipline, and insubordination out of sheer ignorance can be termed to be the totality of the party in the constituency or district! 4. Therefore no one can threaten nor dream to collapse our party if his or her favorite or preferred candidate is not nominated for the office of the District Chief Executive. 5. That, the incumbent as a matter of fact must be mindful that he contested fiercely with others in 2017 before catching the eye of the president. Interestingly, the very candidate he contested with didn’t and never dreamt of collapsing our party when their names were not mentioned. The names of the likes of Hon. Armah Robert, Hon. Frederick Coffie and Mr Adu Tuffour remain fresh in our minds, yet they supported the incumbent for their love and loyalty to the party and respect for the President of the land at the time. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/summit-will-enable-authority-deliberate-take-decisions-on-political-security-in-mali-s-botchwey Interestingly, the constituency chairman happened to be a member of the panel on the vetting committee on the day and time scheduled for all aspirants from Akontombra to appear before them. With this, how can he jump or preempt to declare or throw his weight behind the incumbent DCE? Is it the case that he didn’t and doesn’t trust the entire panel members, the vetting process, and the president who assigned them with that task? READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/amplified-will-focus-on-amplifying-mentoring-youth-dev-t-activities-in-various-quarters-gov-t Is it the case that he went there with a clear predetermined mindset or he simply didn’t deserve to be there in the first place mainly because his actions and attitude can only amount to gross incompetence, maliciously capricious, or completely naive and ignorant of the entire selection and vetting processes? How then do his actions call for the so-called Unity that they purportedly claimed? Moreover, clear and careful observation of the picture accompanying the publication further muddies, misrepresents, and defeats their assertion of the content emanating from the Constituency Executive. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/bui-power-ceo-is-wrong-the-energy-minister-has-not-been-misled-by-gridco Let me use this opportunity again and on behalf of the Youth to plead with the President of the land to consider amongst the six (6) other candidates contesting for the DCE office, (any other of the six (6) but the incumbent). For emphasis, Any Other But the Incumbent DCE. This is because the incumbent DCE has been allegedly involving and taking monies from Gallamseyers. A situation he has not been able to respond to as of today. The president of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, being a grassroots party man with decades of experience knows better and will select the candidate he deems fit, proper and competent enough to represent him in the district.
