Mahama unveils 26 policies for first 120 days as President

President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, has outlined an ambitious agenda of 26 key policies to be implemented within his first 120 days in office.

The policies, unveiled as part of his post-election manifesto, aim to address economic challenges, enhance government efficiency, and improve social services.

The announcement comes on the heels of Mahama’s decisive victory in the 2024 presidential elections held on December 7.

His main contender, Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, officially conceded defeat during a press conference on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Dr. Bawumia cited his commitment to maintaining national peace and reducing tensions as the motivation for his concession.

He further pledged to ensure a smooth transition of power and expressed his willingness to assist the incoming administration if necessary.

Mahama’s proposed policies are designed to address pressing national concerns, including economic recovery, tackling government inefficiencies, and enhancing critical sectors such as health, education, and infrastructure.

The announcement has sparked optimism among Ghanaians, with many hopeful that Mahama’s leadership will bring renewed focus and direction to the nation.

The official swearing-in ceremony is set for January 7, 2025, marking the beginning of his tenure as President.

As the nation anticipates the implementation of these transformative policies, political analysts and citizens alike will be closely watching Mahama’s administration to gauge its impact in the months ahead.
