The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade, has confirmed that this year's Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has been scheduled for August 2020. Black Avenue Music Signee, Sefa has revealed that although she has no problem dating her Manager, she will not succumb to being controlled around. According to Sefa, most female Artiste have had their rights infringed upon in the name of dating adding that it has ended ruining many careers. Speaking on an Accra-based television station, she said “There is nothing like relationship clause in my contract. I will not have any problem with that but you cannot control me around” She added that aside signing a five-year deal with Black Avenue Music, there is no clause in her contract banning her from dating. The young singer however disclosed that she is single. She also hinted that dating a manager comes with lots of disadvantages adding that the female artiste is being restricted from indulging in many things. “But in a case where you are not dating your manager, it is easy for you as a female artiste to sit your partner down, explain the nature of your job for a better understanding and a smooth likewise transparent love relationship” she revealed. According to the Media Liason of the Medical Centre, Rita Agyeiwaa Rockson, although Dr Tamaklo’s positive results has placed fear in his family, they are self-isolating, adhering to protocols and responding to treatment. She said “Over the last two weeks, Dr Tamaklo was not physically present on the hospital premises and thus, we can confirm that the exposure was from the community. We have therefore introduced virtual meeting which is to enable efficient social distancing at the Centre as well as create enough room for clinical staff to continue to provide quality care to patients” She added that following the Medical Centre’s Business Continuity’s plan, all non-clinical staff (including the MD) have tasked to work from home through virtual meetings as part of measures of reducing the spread of the virus. “This was to enable efficient social distancing at the Centre as well as create enough room for clinical staff to continue to provide quality care to patients” Agyeiwaa Rockson said. Going by the directives given by President Akufo-Addo, it is emerging that Dr Tamaklo and his family are under quarantine likewise liasing with the hospital on what to do to avoid further spread. He also stressed that the employees should wear their face masks whenever interacting with others and be sensitive to their own health. The Managing Director hinted that the employees should consider self-isolating whenever they feel unwell and seek medical advice for quick diagnosis as well as treatment. The Medical Centre says it will ensure its doors are opened adding a 24 hours provision of quality services will be rendered to all clients. “Dr. Tamaklo will be taking a short leave of absence to focus on his recovery. During this time, Dr Victoria Lokko, the Medical Director, will be overseeing all clinical affairs whilst Emmanuel Agyei, the Operations Director, will be overseeing all operational matters of the Centre,” the Media Laison said. A group calling itself, Berlinda Babila Foundation (BBF), a Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Charity Organization has partnered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Ghana to organise a clean-up exercise in Accra to mark this year’s World Environment Day 2020 Celebration. According to the Country Director of BBF, Sirekii Clarence Tange, the move forms part of BBF’s social responsibility of promoting and also ensuring the environment is kept clean. In an exclusive interview with Thinknewsonline.com, Mr. Tange said “Today is World Environmental Day and we at BBF are looking deep at what concerns humanity. We are here to make sure that the environment is treated well and is clean so that whosoever see the gesture and puts it into practice will know that it is contributing to nation building” He added the exercise also forms part of fulfilling United Nation’s strategic plan on environmental protection. Mr. Tange also disclosed that if the environment is not protected, the lives of human and other spices on the planet will be at stake. “It is our collective responsibility to see that we give our environment the maximum protection that it so badly needs. That is why we are partnering with the Ministry of Environment and the EPA in the exercise to see that together, we give today, a colourful name” he revealed. President Akufo-Addo has taken a swipe at the Presidential Candidate of the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama saying his so-called unprecedented infrastructural development was a fantasy existing a green book. Actor Prince David Osei has survived a car accident after bursting a front tyre of his car which subsequently running into a taxi. The 'Dead' actor came out unhurt except his car which got mangled just as the taxi. It was not clear where and when the accident took place but the actor is full of gratitude to God for saving him. On Wednesday, he took to social media to share photos of the incident and praise God for the gift of life. “Who told you there's no God? You can't easily take down a praying man who don't (sic) just walk in the flesh but after the spirit. Elohim be praised for saving me from a very fatal (sic) accident, I came out unscratched. Guys, pls help me thank God! Front tyre got burst was manoeuvring the car on the busy highway, finally I hit the pavement that divides the road, as to how the car came to a halt I don't know, my life was literally flashing through my face. Indeed there's a God who never fails,” he said on Instagram. It could be recalled that some Ghanaian showbiz personalities have died through road accidents.
