    Former member of the Council of State and former Ambassador to Denmark and the Scandinavias, Hajia Fati Habib-Jawulaa has died at the age 78. Late Hajia Fati Habib-Jawulaa died on December 15 and was laid to rest on the day after in line with customs of her Religion since she was a muslim. Late Hajia Fati Habib-Jawula was the Northern Region Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 1997 to 2000. She was the wife of the late Alhaji Habib Jawula (Founder Member of the Progress Party), niece of former Convention People’s Party (CPP) flag bearer, Dr Abu Sakara and sister-in-law of Lepowura M.N.D.     Four(4) Ayalolo buses have been burnt to ashes at the Ashanti Regional workshop of the State Transport Company (STC) in Kumasi. A source that narrated the unfortunate incident tootecfmghana.comexplained that the fire engulfed the buses around 10:20pm Wednesday night According to the source, the drivers parked the buses and left and later saw smoke coming out from one of the vehicle. “We couldn’t control the fire and it transferred from one bus to the other.     The Accra Regional Police Command has secured a restraining order against the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) banning them from embarking on further protest and demonstrations in Accra.   • SOGAKOPE-AFLAO ROAD: 5 Die, Others Sustain Various Degrees Of Injuries In Gory Car Accident

    A collision between a Ford Transit vehicle and a Hyundai Universe Space Bus has led to the death of about five persons, with several others sustaining various degrees of injury. The accident occurred at Tefle-Glamanuonyikpo near Sogakope at about 3:55 am on Tuesday. According to eyewitnesses, the crash occurred as a result of a wrongful overtaking by the Ford Transit vehicle which was travelling from Sogakope towards Accra. Eyewitnesses say the Ford Transit in an attempt to veer off the road upon sensing danger, collided sideways with the Hyundai Universe Space Bus which was travelling from Kumasi to Aflao. Four occupants of the Ford Transit; two females and two males, including the driver’s mate, died on the spot, while another male occupant was also pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Meanwhile, a joint team of personnel from the Police MTTU Department, fire service, and the Ambulance Service arrived at the scene to rescue, and convey injured survivors to the Sogakope District Hospital. It took about an hour operation from the Sogakope Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) to remove the entangled rear part of the Ford Transit which got separated from its frontal part, from the Hyundai bus.
