The Leadership of the Ghana Drunkards Association of Ghana says it is commending the various security agencies across the country for their tremendous work in maintaining law and order during the Xmas and new year festivities.
According to its Head of Council of Elders, Kwesi Yeboah, the activities of the security agencies, have helped reduced alcohol-related accidents on the major streets in the country.
In a statement sighted by ThinkNews Online, it said "We will like to express our gratitude to the Ghana police service for the protection of our members during last year's Xmas and the new year's festivities. Their service in protecting lives and properties has help reduced alcohol related accidents during this festive season"
He also urged members of the Ghana Drunkards Association to continue to be responsible in the intake of alcoholic beverages.
The statement also called on benevolent organizations to support the Drunkards Association to create the needed awareness on safe drinking.
