Rawlings Goes Home Today


Late Former President Jerry John Rawlings will today be buried at the Military Cemetery in Accra after the nation took months to mourn his passing.


There will be a burial service at Independence Square where the nation, his bereaved family, various political party heads, friends among others will converge and observe the event.


It will be recalled that Late Former President Rawlings died on November 12 after a short illness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.



Although many still can not come to terms with his demise, ThinkNews Online can confirm that indeed, the Military Ruler is no more.


Loved by many, Late Former President Rawlings ruled Ghana for 16 years.


The old Acimota student was a true statement whose life has been described by many as worth-emulating.



Dignitaries such as President Akufo-Addo, Former President Kufuor, Former President Mahama among a host of high profiled personalities will be expected to grace the occasion.


There will be a 21-gun salute for the fallen hero.
