Residents of Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have retained incumbent Member of Parliament, Lydia Alhassan after the December 7 polls.
Although NDC's John Dumelo lost the seat, many say the young politician gave the incumbent MP a ran for his many.
In a video making waves on the internet, John Dumelo was captured in a sad state as he was finding it difficult to come to terms with the results.
Madam Lydia took to her Facebook account and posted "Thank you God for an answered prayer. Thank you Ayawaso West Wuogon for this Victory. I take my scripture from Proverbs 21:31."
She pulled 498 votes while John Dumelo had 22.
