The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Afra Media Consult, an event planning organization, Afra Harrison Kwaku Ofosu is calling on the general public to join the various political actors in the country to embark on a peaceful walk to promote peace and unity before, during and after the December 7 polls. According to him, the walk which is scheduled for November 21, 2020 will see political actors such as President Akufo-Addo, Former President Mahama, Mr. Hassan Ayariga amongst a host of other party big-wigs

Speaking at the launch of the walk, dubbed ''State-men Peace Walk'' which is under the theme 'Walking for Peace, Before, During and After the Election' in Accra, Mr. Ofusu said "It has not been easy, looking at how we started the year with this covid which of course is living with us. In a few months, we will be having our general elections to elect our President. Hence the need to hold a peace walk.

We will be having President Akufo-Addo, John Dramani Mahama, Kofi Akpalu and the rest fronting this walk" We call it 'Adonko Statesmen peace walk' because we have statesmen of the land who happens to be the government of ghana so being it an election year, we need to draw their attention that in as much as they want to have power, they should also consider that ordinary Ghanaian, who needs life to survive.  power should not be their main concern but the lives of the ordinary people.

He further explained that the walk will begin at the Accra Sports Stadium and end at the Black Star Square. Mr. Ofosu stressed that he was optimistic, the walk would yield positive results. On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of ABN Ghana, Samuel Kofi Acheampong lauded the organizers of the peace walk saying it's a step in the right direction.

In an exclusive interview with Think Tv, he said "I will mention to them that they should make sure we all do our part to ensure that there is peace in Ghana. Most of the political leaders are well to do, if we enter into war, they will fly out of the country but you and I won't be able to afford a flight ticket" He added the citizenry needs peace to survive. The CEO used the occasion to urge Ghanaians to get their breasts screened saying that breast cancer knows no one. "One thing, I will crave your indulgence is, please breast cancer is real, both men and women. Go to any hospital or clinic that would examine you, get examined and make sure if you have traces of it, then they can see how to curb it" he added.

Other speakers at the launch called on political leaders and their followers to use the December elections to tell the world that Ghana is the most peaceful country in the world. 8-year old young poet Nakeeyat Sam Dramani of Tv3’s Talented Kidz season 10 fame reminded political actors to treat the citizenry as the same adding there is no need for tribalism.
