President Akufo-Addo has wished Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu a speedy recovery after confirming he has tested positive for covid-19. According to President Akufo-Addo, his Health Minister is in a stable condition and responding to health care. In his 11th address to the nation on measures put in place to reduce the spread of coronavirus in the country, President Akufo-Addo said “Let us wish or hard working Health Minister, Honourable Kwaku Agyeman Manu, MP for Dormaa Central a speedy recovery from the virus which he contracted in the line of duty and is in a stable condition” It emerged that Ghana’s health Minister had contracted the novel virus and was admitted at the University of Ghana Medical Centre. Although the news has been met by mixed reactions on social media, many Ghanaians are calling for the Health Minister to be transferred to his hometown to receive treatment. Weeks ago, President Akufo Addo lambasted the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) saying their so-called infrastructure development was a fantasy which only existed in the green book. A message which was not well accepted by the followers of the NDC sparked a heated argument on social media as a section of the public hooted and lambasted the Akufo-Addo admission calling them ungrateful and liars. President Akufo-Addo however used his 11th update to pay tribute to the late Mayor of Sekondi Takoradi, K.K. Self -Acclaimed 'Dancehall King', Charles Nii Armah Mensah know in showbiz as Shattawale has disclosed that he has over 69 Billion songs to his credit as an Artiste in the Ghanaian Music Industry. According to him, he has over 150 awards and still counting. Speaking on an Accra-based television station on Saturday, Shattawale said "I have all these awards because I am one of the most active and influential person of our time on both media and on the street as some people will describe" He added that Ghanaian Musicians should learn to support their own adding that if they do, the music industry will travel far. As part of measures of supporting and promoting songs in Ghana and Abroad, President of the Shatta Movement, Shattawale has revealed that he will soon begin an empowerment programme for Female Artistes in the Ghanaian Music Industry, According to him, most Female Artistes in the industry are super-talented adding that a little push will send them places. Speaking on an Accra-based television station, Shattawale said "The only help I can give to our female Artiste in the country is to reach out to them, start some collaborations with them and also be advising them on how to run their affairs in the music industry. Born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, the Korle-Gonno Godfather also praised Ruff Town Record's signee, Wendy Shay saying she is one girl, he has seen develop so much confidence in herself lately. He said "Wendy Shay and I have spoken a lot and I am happy she has built her confidence" He further explained he (Shattawale) will be devoting himself to educate, inform and entertain the female Artistes. "This is a course I am going to put in my efforts. I will motivate them to ensure they don't only go high but also be bold and confident" he said. President of Shatta Movement (SM), Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known in showbiz as Shattawale has confirmed that he does not have any personal problems with Rapper, Pope Skinny as speculated by some media outlets in the country. According to Shattawale, he was amazed and surprised Rapper Pope Skinny returned a car he gave him adding that he does not remember asking him to do so. Speaking on an Accra-based television station, Shattawale said "It was my cousin who had offended me and out of anger, I asked him to pack the car. I was shocked Pope Skinny took an issue between I and my brother personal and acted that way" He added that per the level of friendship they had built, he (Shattawale) till today cannot fathom how such an issue between two brothers has led to a division between himself and another Artiste. He said "I met Pope Skinny through a friend. We have been through a lot and he knows stuffs about me. But the fact that my cousin has told you I was angry at him does not mean, go on Twitter and post false stuffs about me. Information reaching ThinkNewsOnline indicates that Ghana’s Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu has tested positive for the novel coronavirus pandemic. According to sources close to ThinkNewsOnline, the Health Minister is currently receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC)after he was admitted on Tuesday. It is emerging that the Health Minister is responding to treatment not in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as speculated by some media houses in the country. Further checks from the Ministry of Health indicates that the Health Minister has been absent from work for some time for unknown reasons. ThinkNewsOnline is learning that aside the Late Sekondi Takoradi Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), K. K. Sam who is alleged to have died as a result of the novel virus and Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Paapa Owusu Ankomah who recovered recently, the 64-year-old Health Minister is the third Government appointee who has been hit by the pandemic. The Late MCE is said to have contracted the virus from his personal driver who was reported to have contracted the novel virus. ThinkNewsOnline further gathers that was receiving treatment in one of the centre’s in the nation’s capital under his untimely demise. In one of the meet the press engagements, Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman Manu asked Ghanaians to live with the novel virus emphasising that it is just like any ordinary ailment. We have been told that we shouldn’t laugh, we shouldn’t even sing. If we don’t observe these basic guidelines, things will continue to spread,” he mentioned. However, reports from International Media are hailing Ghana for its best approach reducing the spread of the novel virus although the country has recorded some deaths. River State Police Command in Nigeria has arrested a 24 year old maid servant after she was caught raping a four old boy near a river. Intelligence picked up indicates that the little boy who suffered the rape from Easter Emmanuel returned Canada 3 months ago. Police says the little boy reported to his parents an abnormal pains in his private part and was taken to the hospital, after which was disclosed that he had been molested. The little boy said "She always makes me put my thing inside her own thing and in my mouth" He added that she has always been playing with my organ anytime she baths me or when we are both alone. The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso North Constituency, Alhaji Manaf Alidu Mohammed Osmanu has inaugurated a campaign team which he believes will work tirelessly to secure victory for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections . These are competent people who will deliver without fear or favour. Alhaji Manaf also pledged to be committed to the new campaign team and provide them with the necessary logistics. He appealed to members to forgive, forget the past and not hold grudge against one another. He mentioned that holding grudges rather ruins and does not promote peace likewise unity in the Constituency then the party at large. The campaign team which was unveiled, confirmed, and acknowledged were tasked work seriously as the party seek to wrestle and claim the seat from the NDC, for victory in the Constituency and nation at large. KGM Plastic Industry, a plastic producing company on the Spintex road in Accra has been raised down by fire. The fire outbreak which began at noon caused lots of fear in the workers making them ran for their lives. Although the cause of the fire outbreak is unknown, the thick black smoke has caused poor visibility for road users in the vicinity. Thinknewsonline is learning that the Ghana National Fire Service are at the scene and doing everything possible to quench the fire. Nine Police Officers in Croydon, United Kingdom have stopped and searched a black student randomly on the streets on suspicion of carrying illegal substances. In a viral video posted on Facebook by an eye-witness, the black young student was heard and seen challenging the officers asking why he was being stopped and searched. According to the eye-witness (Name withheld), the young black man was heading towards college with two female friends before they were bumped into by the street officers. The Eye Witness said “These officers came to the young man who was standing with the two ladies. Random stop and search! The guy has the right to know why he is being search. I think it’s a language barrier” Explaining himself to other police officers, the angry young black man said “I don’t have anything. I was only asking him why he wanted to search me. I am not going anywhere. If I had something, I would have been gone long ago” The young black man further added that he had nothing on him adding that he is being harassed for nothing. With what seems to be a language barrier, the young black man drifted his attention to a Senior police officer and narrated his ordeal with ease. “Can you search me because I don’t want him to search me” the angry young man tasked the officer. The Eye Witness also mentioned that she is amazed at how 9 officers pounced on an innocent young black man whiles when real robbery happens, they (Police) will be nowhere to be found. After 9 minutes of search and interrogation, the young black student was allowed to go after nothing was found on him. The Ghana Beyond Aid Committee says it is calling on the government and public to adapt new additional change in their dealings adding that it will help the country achieve its targeted goals. According to the Committee, the country will achieve its target if it allows honesty, fairness, patriotism, hard work, accountability, truth, self- reliance, transparency and equal opportunities for all Ghanaians becomes the order of the day. Speaking on the theme; ‘Renewing our mindset and changing our attitudes for collective development’ in Accra, Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast, Most Rev Charles Palmer-Buckle said "We need systematic and sustained goal-oriented values to actualise the agenda. If we are to achieve it, every Ghanaian must be on board. Without the Ghana Beyond Aid, we will continue to revisit our past therefore, we need to focus and guide our actions" He added that when patriotism, honesty, volunteerism, accountability, transparency and hard work are instilled in Ghanaians, the country will be able to achieve its agenda. “It is imperative to psyche the Ghanaian very deeply to cherish the gift of the fellow Ghanaian. I feel sad when I hear people say Ghana is not worth dying for because there is nowhere like home" he noted. The Most Rev. Song writer and Musician, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr has confirmed that he will be doing music on his own and will not be returning to his former employer, Sarkcess Music as speculated on social media. According to him, he has come off age and this is the appropriate time to move on and fight for himself. Speaking in an interview on a Central Regional radio station, the Talented Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Akwaboah said ““For now I would like to do so many things on my own rather than going back to be under the Sarkcess Music record label.
