The Leadership of Teachers and Trainees Advocacy (TTA) says it is calling on the Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to with immediate effect sack the headmaster of Tweneboa Kodua SHS saying he is the cause of the violence which occurred in the school on Monday.

According to TTA, after last Monday's incident, it gathered that the headmaster's robust and fierce autocratic style of leadership in the school led to the mess.

In a statement signed by the National Convener, Patrick Karikari Antwi, it said "It is worth noting as we discovered that the Headmaster had no respect for his Assistant headmasters, teachers and students"

The statement also added the Headmaster, Mr. John Asante Bawuah who was transferred to head last year adding, had already worked with 3 different headmistresses and 2 Assistant headmasters due to his known quick temperament.

Mr. Karikari hinted that that the headmaster on the first day allegedly stopped all students from attending to nature's call adding they should ease themselves in a black polythene bag if they could.

"We absolutely do not subscribe to this move by the head of the school on the bases of a violation of the right of the students to visit the privy during exam. This is disgraceful and must be condemned. What we know is, the student is allowed to visit the privy and sometimes, with a teacher accompanying them to ensure no foreign material is picked up by the student" the statement said.

It was also discovered that the headmaster allegedly gave two strong slaps to one of the teachers invigilating the students when the former apparently saw the latter with a mobile phone making a call.

"Albeit, we condemn the teacher's actions of sending a mobile phone to the invigilation center and on top of that making a call in the invigilation process which is against the GES rules. The headmaster had no legal right to extend his hand to slap the teacher in question and he must face the necessary punishment from GES", TTA said.

The leadership of TTA says it is calling on GES to with immediate effect, interdict him to remedy the situation.
