Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has confirmed that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. According to him, he realised he had tested positive after throwing a party for some family and friends as he marked his 60th birthday. Speaking on an Accra based television station, the MP said “It was after my 60th birthday party which I resisted so much and it exposed me to people who had already tested positive…I dined with them and even for some people, they did not even have their nose masks on while others had theirs down the chin” Recounting his sad ordeal, Mr. Agyapong stressed that he lost weight drastically as a result of contracting the pandemic. “For over two weeks I was in quarantine; my nose was blocked and my bed was as if water had been poured on it coupled with a fever and within five days, I had lost weight drastically.” he noted. Though he has recovered from the disease, Mr Agyapong is appealing to the public adhere to the protocols and stay away from contracting the virus. It emerged that Izu reached out to Nani in an attempt to find out who she claimed aped her but she declined to respond saying the accused requested to anonymous. According to him, the move comes after his attention was drawn to a video of the stranded Ghanaians seeking to return home but have been left to their fates. He said " Look at where Ghanaians have reached. I feel sad for them, therefore, I am going to donate $100,000 to help them get back home," Kennedy Agyapong added that school was not his thing adding that he only went to the University in 1993. The Leadership of Coalition of Civil Societies Against Political Vigilantism (CCSAPV) has described the action taken by Minister for Special Development Initiative, Mavis Hawa Koomson at Monday's Voter Registration Exercise at the Step to Christ Registration Centre in the Awutu Senya East Constituency as disappointing and a clear confirmation that political vigilantism is still in existence in Ghana. According to CCSAPV, Government must be held responsible for the violence, assault and atrocities meted on innocent Ghanaian citizens at the ongoing registration exercise at the various centers. The Late Professor Atta-Mills was born July 21, 1944 at Tarkwa. He was a legal scholar and a politician who served as a president for the Republic of Ghana.
