Former President John Dramani Mahama turns 62 today, Sunday, November 29, 2020. John Mahama was born on November 29th, 1958 in Damango, capital of West Gonja District, to an affluent teacher, rice farmer and politician. His father, Emmanuel Adama Mahama, was the first member of Parliament for West Gonja and the first Regional Minister of Northern Region, serving under Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah. Mahama was born into a politically active family. His father, Emmanuel Adama Mahama, served as a member of Parliament as well as a regional commissioner in the government of Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah. John Mahama attended primary school at the Achimota School in Accra and attended the Ghana Secondary School in Tamale. Enyonam, who is a second-year General Arts student is a fanatic of the literature subject and hopes to grow into a woman of substance. Though she was unfortunately impregnated by her boyfriend during the period when the government closed down schools to curb the spread of the coronavirus, she reported to school irrespective of her protruding stomach. Three National Democratic Congress (NDC) executives in the Eastern Region have been involved in a near-fatal accident while returning from a campaign tour in the Afram Plains area. The executives, Hackman Kabore, Regional Organizer, Richard Etornam Nyarko, Deputy Regional Organizer, and Michael Akorli, Deputy Regional Communication Officer, were en route to meet the National Chairman, Ofosu Ampofo when their vehicle reportedly veered off the road after hitting an unmarked bumpy stretch.
