He added that certain sex positions might increase sexual pleasure, but their consequences could be devastating. “During orgasm, your blood pressure can rise by 20 points, so, if your starting point is not right. We’ve all heard stories where individuals have collapsed in a room. We don’t know what happened in the room but we can guess. “This is simply because your blood pressure can go up by as much as 20 points during orgasm, so make sure that you’re starting right. So, sex is not entirely safe. You have to do it under advice,” he explained. Sex is said to be beneficial to participants; it lowers blood pressure, improves the immune system, improves the health of the heart, and possibly lowers the risk for heart disease. The Accra Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service says it is investigating the circumstances that led to a resident in a gated community in Osu keeping two tigers in his home. The Command confirmed receiving a complaint about the issue. “Preliminary investigations have established that a resident in a gated community at Osu is keeping two tigers under lock in a cage in his house,” a statement issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Command on Thursday said. “Police have reached out to the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission and efforts are underway to relocate the animals to an appropriate facility.” On Thursday, May 19, businessman Freedom Jacob Caesar confirmed keeping the seven-month-old cats. He explained to journalists that the move was to enhance the tourism potentials of Ghana. The trainer of the tigers belonging to businessman Freedom Jacob Caesar, Samuel Tiwonitaaba Kuteba, has said it is nice to be with tigers. He shared his experience with tigers while speaking in interview with the media on Friday May 20. He said “Since I came into contact with these animals I realized it is nice to be with them. Every time I come near them I don’t want to go back home because it is nice to be with them, they have a way of communicating. I love to be with them because of the way they are.” Kuteba further indicated that Caesar’s tigers do not pose a threat to society because they have been declawed. “Tigers have some areas in their lives that make them very dangerous, that is their nails. So we said if that is the dangerous part of them then why can’t we declaw them, so these animals that we are talking about that they are dangerous, their nails have been declawed, they don’t have nails,” he said. Caesar himself earlier told journalists that he went through the right process in bringing the animals to boost Ghana’s tourism. He says he brought in expert who created a safety cage for the animals in order to ensure that they do not pose a danger to society. Residents of Wonder World Estates, Avenue Lincoln near the British High Commission at Ridge in Accra, were reported to have expressed deep concerns over the two tigers in their neigbourhood. Multiple media reports quoted some residents who claimed that “the animals stink. Those animals are held inside an apartment where there is no access to proper fresh air. As soon as the door is open, you sniff a strong unpleasant smell emanating from them.” Speaking on this development in interview with the press on Thursday May 19, Jacob Caesar said “First of all, it is right, I have two tigers that I bought on a bid between Ghana and Dubai which I was the representative from the private sector that had initiated my interest in purchasing these two animals. But we did go through the process, the animals are seven months old, still at the very young stage. “I went in to buy these animals to add the value of tourism in our country. I wanted to go into the Safari World by making sure that Ghana becomes the first country in the whole of West Africa, East Africa and Central Africa, except for South Africa that have these animals. “We wanted to be the first that will have it and so, I went in for the male and the female version of it, I have been keeping them on me for six months. A 25-year-old young lady has been shot three times at Nameyela, a police barrier near a hill called Kariminga on the Bolgatanga Tamale Road after Pulugu in the Upper East Region. The incident happened at about 5:30 pm, on Tuesday 17th May, 2022. The lady by name Talata Kologo was shot two times on the buttocks and once on the hand close to the shoulder area. A rider whose name is not yet known was stopped by the Police for not wearing a helmet at the barrier. The rider pleaded and was allowed to go by one of the officers who engaged them. It is emerging that as they were about to move, another Policeman from the opposite side signalled them to stop, and in an attempt to park off the road, fired at the pillion rider accidentally. In an interview with GBC Ura Radio news, the brother of Talata who was accidentally shot, Kwesi Kologo said he was in the house when he received a call at about 5:30 pm on Tuesday that his sister was shot at Nameyela by a policeman. He noted that he rushed there only to see his sister on the ground in a pool of blood while the police and the angry community members exchanged words. He indicated that his sister Talata was later rushed to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital for treatment, but at the time of filing this report, the pellets had not yet been removed two days after the incident. According to Kwesi, the Doctor said the pellets cannot be removed at the Bolgatanga hospital. This reporter is told that the police visited once and have since not told the family of the victim anything better. Coded of 4×4 fame has alleged that he is unable to reach out to his former groupmate, Captain Planet because he has blocked him. In an interview on Accra-based CTV on Tuesday, he didn't know why his friend blocked him. “He has still blocked me and I've not reached out to him because that is his personal decision, but his wife has not blocked me and we still follow each other,” Coded said. The group 4×4 made up of Coded, Captain Planet and Fresh Prince collapsed several years ago after they released hits upon hit songs. The Chief Director, Ministry of Interior, Adelaide Annor-Kumi, has charged the Recruit Course 119 graduating officers of the Ghana Prison Service to abide by rules, regulations that pertain to their official duties and treat prisoners humanely as per the international protocols and standards they have signed up to. According to her, reforming these individuals to become productive and law abiding citizens is no mean a tasks. Speaking at the passing out parade of Recruit Course 119 on Friday at the Prison Officers' Training School in Accra, she said "To the graduating recruit officers, I must mention that your enlistment is a great boost to the staff strength and operational capacity of the Service. Do not leave the valuable instructions and training you have received here behind you as you move to your various stations. As new corp of prison officers, you must abide by the rules and regulations that pertain to your official duties, respect the human rights of prisoners and relate to them in a humane and professional manner" She reminded the recruit officers that the Ghana Prisons Service strives on discipline and upholds the ideals of vigilance, humanity, fortitude and integrity. She added that such principles would guide the recruit officers throughout their career if they are to succeed. "In dealing with these group of persons (inmates) who have been deprived of their personal liberty as they face confinement, Prisons officers have to treat them humanely" she mentioned. Ghanaian Businessman, Nana Kwame Bediako known by many as Freedom Jacob Caesar has explained why there are two tigers in his Wonda World Estates. According to him, he acquired the animals for tourism purposes and not to endanger residents of his Wonda World Estates, Avenue Lincoln where they are housed. His reaction comes after the residents of the facility located near the British High Commission at Ridge in Accra, complained about the presence of the tigers being an inconvenience. "Well, first of all, It's right. He further disclosed that the seven-month-old tigers were purchased as part of a drive to boost local tourism. Ghanaian Attacker, Kwame Peprah has been adjudged the best young player in South Africa The 21-year-old was part of three nominees for the top award. Peprah was one of two Orlando Pirates players who was competing for honors in the Awards after Boitumelo Radiopane also got nominated for the Player of the season award. The Ghanaian was vying for the award in the category together with Athenkosi Mcaba of Stellenbosch FC as well as SuperSport United’s Luke Fleurs. He however came out top among his competitors in the category. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Afua Asabea Asare is challenging various Trade Promotion Organisations (TPOs) not to wait for the current overlapping global crises of war and covid and its attendant disequilibrium to simmer down before it takes action. According to the CEO, the current exposure of the economies to the vagaries of the external environment must serve as a turning point in its trading dynamics. Speaking at the 2nd Annual General Assembly of the ECOWAS TPO Network in Accra, she said "The consistent mention of the hikes in prices, soaring unemployment, shortage of essential commodities, supply chain disruptions and the depressing statistics churned out daily, is meant to strengthen our resolve as a team and to remind us of the monumental task we have as TPOs to strive to increase trade flows amongst ourselves. We do not have the luxury of time to wait for the current overlapping global crises of war and COVID and their attendant disequilibrium to simmer down before we take action" "Mr. Chairman, I know it may sound clichéd to lament on the devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, but it is imperative that we copiously remind ourselves of the bottlenecks, as we seek ways to traverse the monumental challenges occasioned by these two events." Principal Elders of the Owoo Family says they have restrained themselves from participating in the ongoing Achimota Forest brouhaha following a good advise and judgement. According to the Principal Elders, it is ready to set some record straight on the ongoing Achimota Forest and matters arising. In a statement issued by the family, it said "The Owoo Family, the pre-acquisition owners, of all the land acquired in 1921 and 1927 for the Achimota School, have suffered grave historical injustice. The family have had to, in the past, accept and/or acquiesce to terms to enable it move on which it strongly believes have been unfair and unjust" The Family added that the much talked about 19th August, 2016 ceremony which has been erroneously stated in the public as an occasion when land was released to the Owoo family is false and misleading. "That ceremony was a sod cutting ceremony for the development of the Achimota Forest into an Eco-Tourism park. The Owoo Family were mere invitees/guest" The Owoo Family also revealed that compensation has not been paid for the 1927 acquisition "The acreage due the Owoo family was arrived at through a long standing negotiations which in many respects predates the current administration. This was done with the active involvement of various State tec.hnical negotiators and agencies" It is emerging that the Owoo family has petitioned all governments in the fourth republican dispensation and indeed is yet to take possession of any parcel of land to date.
