As Ghana's Senior National Team, the Black Stars, prepare to face Panama in their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana (MP) has urged the team to represent the nation with determination, passion, and pride.

In a message shared on his Facebook page, the Deputy Minister who doubles as Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi Constituency encouraged the players to give their all on the pitch, reminding them that the entire nation stands firmly behind them.

"Play with heart. Play with pride. The nation is behind you all the way. Go and make Ghana proud. One Nation. One Team. One Goal," he stated.

The Black Stars' encounter with Panama comes at a time when the tournament has already produced several surprises.

While some African nations have begun their campaigns with impressive victories and maximum points, others have managed draws, while a few have suffered defeats in their opening fixtures.

With the world watching, Ghanaians will be hoping the Black Stars can rise to the occasion and begin their World Cup journey on a winning note.

Will Ghana secure all three points, settle for a draw, or suffer an opening setback against Panama? The answer will unfold later today.
