The Presiding Member (PM) Portfolio is fast changing in these times as such a lot of variety of PMs in various Municipal Assemblies are been spotted on daily basis.
Augustine Ofori Gyebi is currently the Presiding Member at the Ayawaso North Municipal Assembly who is turning heads with his industrious contributions to the Municipality.
Mr. Gyebi had his MSLC from 1985 to 1989 at the Osorase R/C Middle/J.S.S and also bagged his ‘O’ Level GCE from 1989 to 1994 at the Achiase Secondary School located in Akim Achiase in the Achiase District, near Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.
He furthered his education from 2000 to 2001 at Missionsoft Institute and obtained Certificate Office Automation and later grabbed a Diploma Database Administration/Programming from 2000 to 2001 from the same Institute.
Mr. Gyebi from 2001 to 2002 at W.C.G. Accra completed with Certificate in Videography and Certificate in Graphic Designing from 2002 to 2003 at B.T.C. Computers.
The Presiding Member obtained a Certificate, Loan Recovery Expert from 2007 to 2008 at Masloc Training Center and Executive Certificate in Effective Time and Task Management Technics from 2011 to 2012 at Institute for Policy Strategy & Development.
Mr. Gyebi is currently studying BSC. Human Resource Management at the KNUTSFORD University College.
Growing up as a young man, he was inspired to serve people around him.
Mr. Ofori Gyebi is fluent in the English Language and Twi dialect.
Augustine Ofori Gyebi is hardworking, a team player, passionate, goal-oriented, and self-motivated individual, with over fifteen years of rich working experience across various fields.
He is politically adept, an experienced administrator, and has great human relations.
Mr. Gyebi is mentally prepared and physically ready to grow with and help achieve the objectives of any reputable institution.
A look at his work experiences; from 2005 to 2008, he acted as the secretary to the youth wing of the Constituency Youth Secretary at the Ayawaso East Constituency.
From 2005 to 2008, Mr. Gyebi acted as the ward Administrator, Ward Secretary at Maamobi East Electoral Area in the Ayawaso East Constituency
From 2006 to 2012 he held the position of Secretary, Friends of Nana Addo (FoNA) Acted as the Administrator for FoNA Fun Club at the Ayawaso East Constituency.
From 2007 to 2012, he worked as a Field Extension Assistant (FEA), MASLOC; Group Formation, Development, and Management Accessing Micro Financial Services, Loan Recovery.
From 2009 to 2013, he worked as the Acting Constituency Assistant Secretary at the Ayawaso East Constituency. He assisted the Secretary in performing administrative functions and performed other duties assigned by the Secretary.
From 2009 to 2013 he was the Communication Officer at the Ayawaso East Constituency. He represented the Party on Radio stations and served as the official Spokesperson for the party.
In 2016 May, he found himself with the December Sales of Npp Credit / Scratch cards.
NPP Credit Cards, he led a team to all the regional capitals of Ghana to (Donate for Change) sell Npp Credit / Scratch Cards to raise money for the party. Sold Npp Credit / Scratch Cards at most of the major traffic lights in Accra to raise money for the party.
In December 2016 and December 2020, he served as an Election D-Day Coordinator
at the Ayawaso North Constituency. He was charged with overall election day. Planning and coordination
Since 2013, he is on as Constituency Secretary at the Ayawaso North Constituency. He performs administrative duties for the party. He serves as the mouthpiece for the party.
From February 2017 to May 2018, he was Government Appointee at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA). He served on various committees such as Finance and Administration, Planning and Works Committee
Since 2018, he has served as present Government Appointee at the Ayawaso North Municipal. He served as the Chair of Finance and Assembly (ANMA) Administration sub-committee. He is also a Member of the Planning, Security, and Justice, Social Services, and Works Committee.
From 2018 till now, he is currently playing the role of Personal Assistant (P.A) to the MCE at the Ayawaso North Municipal. He represents the MCE in various meetings at Assembly (ANMA). He assists in the Administrative work of the MCE and performs other delegated duties by the MCE.
In February 2019; he took the role of Presiding Member at the Ayawaso North Municipal. He presides over Assembly Sittings at the Assembly (ANMA) and also chairs PRCC meetings.
Mr. Augustine Ofori Gyebi has his eyes on the ball as he is targeting the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Ayawaso North Municipal Assembly.
