"NSS Personnel Will Sensitize The Public On Roll-Out Of The Bye-Law" - Henry Quartey Clarifies


The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey has clarified that the National Service Personnel selected to embark on 'Operation Clean Your Frontage' exercise will be sensitising the general public on roll-out of the Bye-Law.


According to him, the personnel will not be used for the exercise as falsely speculated by some section of Ghanaians.


In a statement sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, he said "My attention has been drawn to an unfortunate propaganda that our National Service Personnel will be responsible for the cleaning on the 1st of February to mark the operationalisation of the 'Operation Clean Your Frontage' Bye-Law.


He added that his outfit has graciously received confirmation of about 15,000 National Service Personnel, over 2,000 men and women drawn from the Security services and about 2,000 YEA and Zoomlion workers, joining the RCC.


The Minister further stressed that the selected will be joining the RCC, together with 13 Metropolitan and Municipal Assemblies for a massive sensitisation drive to mark the commencement of the 'Operation Clean Your Frontage' bye-law.

"I have also had engagements with the Clergy and Business community who have pledged their unalloyed support and participation in this programme" the statement added.
