LISAG boost Lands Commission’s digitisation drive with IT equipment donation

The Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LISAG) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening land administration in Ghana with the donation of essential Information Technology (IT) equipment to the Lands Commission to support its ongoing digitisation drive.
The donation, which underscores the strong working relationship between the two institutions, is expected to enhance records management, accelerate the digitisation of land records and improve operational efficiency at selected regional offices of the Commission.

The items presented comprise three Intel Core i5-13420H computers, three APC Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units, three barcode readers, three thermal printers and three LaserJet printers.
The equipment is earmarked for the Commission’s offices in Wa, Cape Coast and Sunyani.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Commission, the Acting Deputy Executive Secretary, Corporate Services, Hon. Emmanuel Adansi-Bonnah, expressed profound appreciation to LISAG for the timely intervention, describing it as a significant contribution to the Commission’s efforts to modernise its operations and improve service delivery.
He noted that the provision of the equipment would support the Commission’s digital transformation agenda and called on LISAG to sustain its partnership with the Commission.

He also urged other professional bodies, institutions and stakeholders to emulate the gesture by supporting initiatives that promote efficient land administration and improved public service delivery.
For his part, the President of LISAG, Surv. Samuel Larbi Darko, accompanied by members of the Association’s executive, reaffirmed LISAG’s commitment to supporting the Lands Commission in the discharge of its mandate.

The Secretary of LISAG, Prof. Prosper Larry, explained that the donation was inspired by the cordial relationship between the two institutions and the Association’s recognition of the Lands Commission as a critical partner in the land administration sector.
He emphasised that LISAG remained committed to contributing meaningfully to the Commission’s operational needs through strategic support and the provision of relevant resources to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

The equipment was formally received by the Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission, Prof. Anthony Owusu-Ansah.
The presentation was attended by the Acting Director of the Survey and Mapping Division (SMD), his deputies and other members of Management.

The gesture further highlights the importance of stakeholder collaboration in advancing the modernisation of Ghana’s land administration system, particularly as the Lands Commission continues to embrace technology-driven solutions to improve records management, operational efficiency and service delivery.
