The fight for justice continues as a young Nigerian commits suicide after he was accused and shamed by a Twitter influencer of rape.
#JusticeForIzu is the trending hashtag on Twitter after Izu Madubueze with the user Legend Izu Madubueze on Twitter took his own life when a Twitter influencer, Nanichi Anese published his name as part of rapists.
It emerged that Izu reached out to Nani in an attempt to find out who she claimed aped her but she declined to respond saying the accused requested to anonymous.
She later said the alleged victim said it was a “non physical sexual assault.
Screenshots of Izu trying as much as possible to redeem himself were all in vain as Nani was not cooperating.
Izu later tweeted apologizing though he stated that he doesn’t know or recall any event as such but apologies to anyone who he has made to feel uncomfortable in any way and that it wasn’t his intention.
He further pleaded that the alleged victim should please to reach out to him and make him understand what’s going on and and apologize.
Nani the accuser deactivated her account after the death of the accused was made public .
Izu’s last tweet was on Friday July 17, and it reads: “oh and if you are reading this, I’m dead lol”.
