Ghana-Based Gambian Actress, Princess Shyngle has taken to her Instagram page to reveal that aside disclosing her political affiliation, she is aiming high for the office of the first Female President in Gambia. A second-year student of the Ejisu Secondary Technical Senior High School has been hospitalized after drinking liquid soap in what is believed to be an attempted suicide on campus. This was after an Assistant Headmaster locked him up with a colleague, overnight, in his office, for stealing the school’s electric stabilizer on Tuesday night, July 21, 2020. According to school authorities, the two were brought in by a taxi driver who allegedly caught them climbing over the school wall with the machine. Headmistress too wasn’t around so I did not want to take any decision outside them so I decided to keep them in my office so that the following morning (Wednesday), when the head and other members come, we sit on it and trash the issue,” he said. An unknown married woman has printed and disseminated details of a husband snatcher named Jatu on the various social platforms and some parts of East Legon, a community in Accra warning other women to be on their guards. Economist, Professor Godfred Bokpin is calling on Ghanaians to reduce their expectations about the mid-year budget review which yet to be presented by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta. According to him, presenting the budget to Ghanaians would not lead to overnight success adding that there should rather be a need for prudence and sacrifice amidst this pandemic. The Leadership of Ghana's Christian Council have descended heavily on the Minister of Special Development Initiatives, Mavis Hawa Koomson for firing a gunshots during an exercise at a voter registration centre in the Awutu Senya East Constituency of the Central Region. According to the Christian Council, such high-profile incidents should not be countenanced by the country's state security. Liverpool, led by captain, Jordan Henderson lifted their first Premier League trophy in 30 years amid fireworks, in a special ceremony at Anfield, following their thrilling 5-3 win over Chelsea. Liverpool clinched the title with seven games to spare on June 25, after Chelsea defeated Manchester City, but had to wait for the conclusion of their final home league game of the season to finally get their hands on the trophy. The Reds kicked off the party after their win over Chelsea, which pushed their total points haul to 96. The result means Liverpool finish the season unbeaten at Anfield, and make it 59 home league games without defeat. Liverpool will end their 2019/20 campaign at Newcastle on Sunday. Ghanaian Rapper and Songwriter, Gambo Bashir has revealed that he has not made any comments which seeks to tag the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as a corrupt entity as speculated by some media outlets. According to the Singer, since both personalities have the same names, his image was mistaken used by some media outlets for that of the retired Ghanaian footballer. He explained that the unfortunate incident created an impression that he was speaking against corruption at the Ghana Football Association. However, the fast-rising singer and "Kwacha" hitmaker said “I told GFA not to invite me because of corruption”. Gambo is a young Ghanaian musician who released his debut track "Kwacha" on February 5. Born in Ghana, the musician left to Guyana at an early age of 5 years but returned to Ghana at the age of 11 to continue school his basic education at SAPS and completed there in 2012. He furthered his education at Legon Presbyterian Boys, where his music passion was ignited and his music journey began. He completed in 2015 and went on to win the Ultimate Ghana Teen Choice Award at the Ghana Teens Choice Awards that same year. An unknown Metro Mass driver has found himself in trouble after slapping the personal driver of Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong over a confrontation. According to Eye Witness, the Metro Mass driver carelessly scratched the Escalade of the sitting MP and took to his heels. After a hot chase, the Metro Mass driver was apprehended and in an attempt to resolve the issue, the bus driver out of anger pounced on Kennedy Agyapong's driver landing him with a slap.
