Former Division One League Chairman, Evans Amenumeh has been confirmed dead by close relatives few weeks after he was reported ill. The experienced football administrator who until his demise became the Vice Chairman of the newly constituted DOL board, was also a member of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and later Juvenile Committee. He worked with Kwame Ntow Fianko Esq at a point in shaping the second-tier league which was facing hooliganism and lack of sponsorships from the corporate world. Amenumeh has become the second top Ghanaian football administrator, aside Alhaji Yakubu Moro of Berekum Arsenals’ fame, to kick the bucket within the last week. The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC), John Mahama has promised major reforms in Ghana's pensions sector should he be elected president in December. He announced that if given the mandate in December, he will initiate the amendment of the National Pensions Act, to allow workers who have contributed to SSNIT for over 10 years to collateralize their contributions for mortgage loans. John Mahama said the reforms will allow workers in the informal sector to benefit from the SSNIT pensions scheme. Nine Civil Society Organisations have filed a case at the Supreme Court seeking to challenge the President's decision to direct the Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo to proceed on leave. At least seven people have died and more than 50 injured after an explosion during a class at a religious school in Pakistan, police have said. Hospital officials say those killed in the attack, which took place in the northern city of Peshawar, were aged between 20 and 30. Dozens of others were injured, including four under the age of 13. An executive of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has died in a motorbike crash while on his way from a campaign activity in the Ashanti Region. Spain has declared a national state of emergency and imposed a night-time curfew to help control a new spike in Covid-19 infections. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said the curfew, between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00, would come into force on Sunday.
