  • "139,331 Jobs Created From 1D1F So Far" – Alan Kyerematen

The Trade and Industry Minister-designate, Alan Kyerematen says 139,331 jobs have so far been created from the government’s One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative. “Through the intervention of 1D1F, 139,331 direct and indirect jobs have so far been created by the 76 companies that are already operational. 285,915 additional direct and indirect jobs are projected from the projects that are under construction,” he stated. Mr. Kyerematen, announced this when he appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Friday for vetting. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/sheila-bartels-others-told-to-concentrate-on-their-disloyal-cheating-husbands-not-side-chicks He noted that in addition to the 76 projects that are currently operational, 107 of them are under construction and another 49 are ready for construction to commence within the first half of the year. He also indicated that 64 of the 232 1D1F projects are existing companies that were adopted and supported under the 1D1F initiative. “Contrary to comments that 1D1F is just an attempt to brush up on existing companies, if you look at the statistics, only 64 of the 232 companies are existing. 168 of them are new companies,” he stated. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/i-m-ready-to-offer-my-3rd-girl-s-hand-in-marriage-to-kofi-kinaata-nii-lante-vanderpuye-video The Trade and Industry Minister-designate argued that the 1D1F initiative is one of the most revolutionary programs since Ghana’s independence, saying that it goes to the core of bringing industry and development to the doorsteps of ordinary people and that is why the NPP government pursued it with “aggression”. The 1D1F is a private sector-led initiative envisioned by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to create the necessary conducive environment for businesses to access funding from financial institutions and other support services from government agencies so as to establish factories and production units in the various districts of the country. It seeks to change the structure of Ghana’s economy from one which is dependent on import and export of raw material to one which is focused on manufacturing, value addition, and export of processed goods by processing raw materials found largely in the 275 districts of the country into finished or semi-finished goods. • US Report Says Saudi Crown Prince Approved Khashoggi's Murder

A declassified United States intelligence report has said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman approved an operation to capture or kill dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered and dismembered in Istanbul in 2018. "We assess that Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman approved an operation in Istanbul, Turkey to capture or kill Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi," the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence said in the report posted on its website. "We base this assessment on the crown prince's control of decision-making in the kingdom, the direct involvement of a key adviser and members of Mohammed bin Salman's protective detail in the operation, and the crown prince's support for using violent measures to silence dissidents abroad, including Khashoggi," it added. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/sheila-bartels-others-told-to-concentrate-on-their-disloyal-cheating-husbands-not-side-chicks Saudi Arabia said it rejected completely "the negative, false and unacceptable" assessment of the US intelligence report implicating the crown prince in Khashoggi's death, Riyadh said on Friday. The report was completed under the administration of Donald Trump in the wake of the gruesome killing. But President Joe Biden ordered a declassified version to be released as part of a reset where Washington is distancing itself from Prince Mohammed. The report asserts that the prince directed the assassination in which Khashoggi, a Washington Post writer, and US resident, was lured to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, then killed and cut into pieces. Prince Mohammed has said he accepts Saudi Arabia's overall responsibility in the killing of his vocal critic but denies a personal link. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/i-m-ready-to-offer-my-3rd-girl-s-hand-in-marriage-to-kofi-kinaata-nii-lante-vanderpuye-video Jamal Khashoggi was a prominent journalist and critic of the ultra-conservative kingdom's government. The 59-year-old went into self-imposed exile in the US in 2017 after falling out with Prince Mohammed, who had become de facto ruler months earlier. Turkish officials say he was killed in his country's Istanbul consulate on October 2, 2018, by a 15-man Saudi squad who strangled him and cut his body into pieces. His remains were never found. In a partially redacted two-year-old report released Friday by President Joe Biden's administration, US intelligence concluded that the prince "approved an operation in Istanbul, Turkey to capture or kill Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi." READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/accra-aglow-ghana-defies-rain-holds-first-intercessory-prayer-after-lockdown-pictures "The crown prince views Khashoggi as a threat to the kingdom and broadly supported using violent measures if necessary to silence him," it said. In September last year, a Saudi court overturned five death sentences in its final ruling and handed jail terms of up to 20 years to eight unnamed defendants after secretive legal proceedings. The verdict came after Khashoggi's sons "pardoned" the killers in May last year, paving the way for less severe punishment. Two top figures, who are part of Prince Mohammed's inner circle, were investigated over the killing and exonerated. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/criminality-on-lgbt-is-non-negotiable-and-our-cultural-practices-frowns-on-it-adwoa-safo-pics Both deputy intelligence chief Ahmed al-Assiri and the royal court's media adviser Saud al-Qahtani were sacked shortly after the murder but eventually cleared "due to insufficient evidence". 'Fear, intimidation' Khashoggi once served as an adviser to the Saudi government but later became a vociferous critic of Prince Mohammed's policies, speaking out in both the Arab and Western press. Never one to mince his words, Khashoggi described a new Saudi era of "fear, intimidation, arrests and public shaming" in an article published in the Post in 2017. In a March 2018 editorial in The Guardian, co-authored with historian Robert Lacey, Khashoggi wrote: "For his domestic reform program, the crown prince deserves praise. But at the same time, the brash and abrasive young innovator has not encouraged or permitted any popular debate." "He appears to be moving the country from old-time religious extremism to his own 'You-must-accept-my-reform' extremism, without any consultation -- accompanied by arrests and the disappearance of his critics." READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/live-turn-unto-ghana-oh-lord-and-have-mercy-on-us-aglow-gh-international-video Khashoggi fled the country in September 2017, months after Prince Mohammed was appointed heir to the throne and amid a campaign that saw dozens of dissidents arrested, including intellectuals and Islamic preachers. His criticisms of Saudi Arabia's policies included its role in Yemen, where Riyadh leads a military coalition fighting alongside the government in its war against the Iran-backed Huthi rebels. He also opposed a 2017 Saudi-led boycott of Qatar, a tiny Gulf emirate that found itself isolated for more than three years over its allegedly close ties to extremist groups and Iran. Liberal ideas Khashoggi said he had been banned from writing in the pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat, owned by Saudi Prince Khaled bin Sultan al-Saud, over his defense of the Muslim Brotherhood which Riyadh has blacklisted as a terrorist organization. The writer said Saudi authorities banned him from using his verified Twitter account after he said the country should be "rightfully nervous about a Trump presidency". READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/supreme-court-orders-dominic-ayine-to-retract-and-apologize-over-predetermined-agenda-comments Former US President, Donald Trump had repeatedly expressed support for Prince Mohammed, describing him as a friend who was doing a "spectacular job". Trump said he was "extremely angry" about Khashoggi's murder but that nobody had "pointed a finger" at the kingdom's leader. Khashoggi came from a prominent Saudi family with Turkish origins. He was born in the western Saudi city of Medina, revered in Islam as the burial place of the Prophet Mohammed. He began his career as a journalist with Saudi dailies in the 1980s, covering the Afghanistan conflict. But the authorities came to see Khashoggi as too progressive and he was forced to resign as editor-in-chief of Al-Watan in 2003. However, Khashoggi retained ambiguous ties to Saudi authorities, having held advisory positions in Riyadh and Washington -- including to Prince Turki al-Faisal, who ran Saudi Arabia's intelligence agency for more than 20 years. • African Pioneer For Children And Women's Right Movement, Felicia Dede Adadzawa Goes Home On March 13

One of the African Pioneers for Children and Women’s Rights Movement, Felicia Dede Adadzawa will be laid to rest on March 13 at Ho Dome in the Volta Region. Late Felicia Dede Adadzawa will go down history as a charismatic, long-suffering, selfless, hardworking, and role model to many due to her spirited fight for justice and equal rights for women and children. Late Adadzawa was no match for any modern woman who grew up in modern times if the truth was anything to go by. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/sheila-bartels-others-told-to-concentrate-on-their-disloyal-cheating-husbands-not-side-chicks She was not the type of woman who enjoyed dating, making marriage proposals, flaunting expensive engagement rings, and getting down the aisle in a puffy-designer wedding gown, to finally say, "Yes, I do!", instead, she represented the face of those women who were forced into early marriages, overworked, and treated without respect and consideration. Growing up when women were oppressed and suppressed, viewed as reproductive objects, farm laborers, and lesser human beings, she ended up in a non-consented married at a tender age. She later jumped out of wedlock a few years after the birth of her first child. Despite marrying a rich man with a pretty fair share in the real estate industry, and a higher education level, things weren't rosy, as she had to work even in her last trimester of pregnancy and so, it was for other co-wives. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/i-m-ready-to-offer-my-3rd-girl-s-hand-in-marriage-to-kofi-kinaata-nii-lante-vanderpuye-video During those dark days of male chauvinism and gender discrimination in African communities, no woman had a right—be it the right to expression, decision-making, or just the right to live an independent life. Therefore, women had no absolute right to opt-out of a forceful marriage. And in case one would do, the consequences were brutal and life-threatening. Therefore, committing such an offense would make you liable to exile from the community or be condemned to death if you would lose in a traditional court. Despite her knowledge of the imminent punishment that comes with committing what was regarded as a taboo, Adadzawa defied the odds, revolted, and incited other women to do so in protest of the oppression and suppression that they were undergoing. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/accra-aglow-ghana-defies-rain-holds-first-intercessory-prayer-after-lockdown-pictures With a strong commitment to gaining her freedom, Adadzawa divorced her rich and powerful husband, a move that landed her into a fierce battle in a traditional court known as the Horlutiedome. An Epic Win for Late Felicia Dede Adadzawa in a traditional court completely changed everything. After her bitter fallout with her husband, it was now time for the deviant and long-suffering Adadzawa to face a disciplinary case before chiefs and elders. Having it in mind that losing the case would have serious ramifications on her future, she explained the magnitude of her plight in-depth, and breadth beyond conviction, securing a landmark win that marked an incredible milestone in the fight for equality. Owing to her confidence, charisma, and sharp wits, Late Dede Felicia warmed the hearts of many, including the high-profile juries who had no better option than granting her freedom. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/criminality-on-lgbt-is-non-negotiable-and-our-cultural-practices-frowns-on-it-adwoa-safo-pics But it wasn't without a cost. She was ordered to compensate her husband, with European Schnapps and other staff, which she did and secured her freedom. The epic win opened a new chapter on how women and children are viewed and treated in society. In her parting shot, Adadzawa convinced the crowd and the traditional judges that women are our mothers, sisters, and daughters. Women, too, are human beings and deserve to be treated fairly with respect and tolerance just like men. She explained the hardships of pregnancy and the pain and risk women go through in childbirth and demanded that no pregnant woman should be forced to slave-work on the farm to protect the life of the unborn baby and the mother. She further demanded that every child must have the right to live and the girl child should no more be forced into marriage. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/supreme-court-orders-dominic-ayine-to-retract-and-apologize-over-predetermined-agenda-comments Instead, they must be allowed to choose whom they want to marry from that day, men were ordered to treat their wives fairly; anyone who didn't was punished. Following her efforts in liberating women and children from the long-time oppression and suppression, she became a hero, and her name was sung and praised by women and children. Late Felicia Dede Adadzawa's second chance in marriage changed her life for good. After her freedom, Late Adadzawa got married to a man of her dreams. With her strong belief in hard work and well-honed work ethics, she sold foodstuffs and clothes to get money for her children's school fees and fend for other needs. She also extended a hand of kindness to other needy children and made a difference in their lives. READ ALSO: https://www.thinknewsonline.com/post/live-turn-unto-ghana-oh-lord-and-have-mercy-on-us-aglow-gh-international-video Her love for humanity, philanthropy, and commitment to fight for gender equality made her dearly loved.
