Mzbel took to her Facebook page to post it. In a post sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, she wrote "Haven't I politely spoken to u several times to stop? Oh so u have feelings abi? Kwasia mu Kwasia!" The Musician registered her displeasure following an interview Zionfelix had with Afia Schwarzenegger recently. She added "Zionfelix count the number of monetized interviews u have about me on your YouTube Channel with lies and insults about my private life and come back and explain which ones u apologized for!" It will be recalled that Zionfelix, in a video hinted that he holds nothing against singer Mzbel adding that it was never his intention to allow Afia Schwarzenegger to ridicule her on his platform. The Comptroller-General of Immigration (CGI), Mr Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq) has paid a two-day working visit to the various Sectors, Border Crossing Points and Administrative areas of the Ghana Immigration Service in the Volta Region. The tour took him to the Nyive Sector Command, and the adjoining border posts, such as the Shia Border, Atukpui Border, Pentecost-Down border and the Klave inland checkpoint. He also visited Wli-Afegame, Kame-Tonu border, Hohoe Sector Command, the Mountain Afadjato tourism site (Twin Mountains) and the Baglo Border Post (Oti Region). The CGI toured the region as part of activities lined up, after attending the 66th Independence Day Anniversary. Mr Takyi’s visit was intended to familiarize himself with the conditions under which his men work, and interact with them. A durbar was held with Officers at each of the places the CGI visited, where he emphasized the need for Officers to be disciplined, work hard and closely collaborate with other security services to efficiently maintain security at the borders. He assured them that his administration is doing all it could to ensure that pertinent logistical challenges are resolved. He also mentioned a new distribution template that has been adopted by the Service in sharing uniforms especially the camouflage. He was quick to add that Officers at the various entry and exit points will be considered first before all others. The CGI highly commended the personnel for their relentless efforts in protecting the borders despite the deplorable conditions they faced. Also speaking at a durbar, the Deputy Comptroller-General, Operations and Command Post, (DCG/OPS) Mr. Laud Affrifah, urged personnel of the Service not to abuse the privileges and opportunities they have but rather conduct themselves creditably in order not to bring the hard-earned reputation of the Service into disrepute. This caution was premised by the recent trending videos of some personnel of the Service which he said contravenes the Code of Ethics of the Service.  ‘Disciplinary action would be taken against anyone found culpable of such act to serve as a deterrent,’ he stressed. On that score, the DCG/OPS informed Officers that administrative sanctions have been taken against an Officer for wearing Service uniform on social media in a way that negatively impacted on the image of the Service. Officers and men in the various commands visited could not hide their joy seeing the CGI and having personal interaction with him for the first time. On his way to Accra, the CGI and his entourage made a brief stop at Asikuma Check Point and the Asuogaman District Office of the Service to interact with Officers there as well. Former Black Stars goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey could become the new goalkeeper's trainer of the senior national team, according to reports. The 35-year-old, who called time on his career in 2020 after ending his three-year spell with Vlerenga, is set to replace Richard Kingson as the next goalkeeper's trainer. Asreported by GhanaWeb on Monday, March 13, 2023, Chris Hughton, who is the new Black Stars coach, is said to have made a few changes to the technical team, which could see a new goalkeepers' trainer and video analyst come in. According to an undisclosed source, the new gaffer is willing to bring in a new video analyst as well as a goalkeeper's trainer. This could see Richard Kingson, the current goalkeepers' trainer, and Awal Kamin, the video analyst, lose their jobs. The Norwegian-based goalkeeper was Ghana’s first choice at the 2012 AFCON, as the Black Stars finished 4th in the tournament. The goalkeepers were later chosen to be Ghana’s safest pair for the 2014 World Cup. Kwarasey won two trophies each with Stromsgodset, Portland Timbers, and Rosenborg. He was awarded the Best Goalkeeper at Tippeligaen in 2013 and also earned the MLS Save of the Year in 2015. The Member of Parliament for Ashaimam, Ernest Norgbey, has said that the Inspector General of Police, COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, led a night operation in Ashaiman to arrest some of the suspects linked to the killing of Sherrif Imoro. The young soldier was killed at dawn on March 4, 2023, after he is said to have sought permission from a training course he was attending in Accra, to visit his mother at Ashaiman.E Eventually, the police arrested six people connected to the crime. Expressing his gratitude to the IGP for swiftly arresting the key suspects in the case, Ernest Dogbey said that the police boss has proven to be on top of security by achieving what the soldiers could not attain with their brutal invasion of Ashaiman. He further explained that the IGP was in the area throughout the night and on the dawn of Friday, March 10, 2023, to ensure that the suspects were arrested. The Government says it has commenced processes to settle payments on outstanding bonds. According to gov't, it commenced payments on March 13. In a statement sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, it said "The initial instruction covers coupon and principal payments on bonds that matured on 6th February, 2023, and 13th February, 2023. Holders of the afore-listed bonds should therefore expect to receive their payments within the next 48 hours." The statement also added that payment dates for subsequent maturities will be communicated in due course, as processing continues. The Ministry of Finance says it takes the opportunity to thank all stakeholders for their forbearance during the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) and subsequent administrative processes. A 71-year-old blind man has allegedly killed his wife at Nkawkaw Abepotia in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region. The suspect, George Mudor, and his 65-year-old deceased wife were married for 28 years, according to a resident named Oheneba Siaw, who spoke to OnuaOnline. He said Mr Mudor was not born blind but developed it about five years ago.He added that since then, his late wife had been threatening to divorce him, which did not sit well with him. The 71-year-old claims his wife is ungrateful for sharing all the blessings of life with him and is now threatening to divorce him after going blind. Oheneba claimed the man chose to kill his wife rather than carry out her threats to one day file for divorce. He executed his wife by beheading her in the early hours of 14 March 2023 while she was still asleep. While the suspect, George Mudor, is assisting the Nkawkaw police with their investigations, Georgina's body has since been taken to the Holy Family Hospital morgue for autopsy. I laughed at my own headline, because it sounds insane, but it is what it is !!! I laughed because some smaller Political Parties are becoming busy bees settling for PR job from the EC, and are not concentrating on core duties like securing political power or securing parliamentary seats, while some passionate Ghanaians are looking for a Third Force. If Obi's performance in Nigeria, can't motivate our smaller Parties in Ghana, then nothing can !!! If you don't agree with me on Obi's performance, keep it to yourself. Nigeria didn't just vote for change, they trusted a Third Force !!! Back home in Ghana, our versions of a Third Force are behaving like Civil Society Organisations, struggling for a voice and not a vote. The position they have taken on the new CI reflects their inexperience, lack of knowledge of how things work at the polling stations and registration centres and how data is gathered. People won't troop to District capitals to register, Political Parties will mobilise to do that !!! The success of previous elections and even the success of the NIA, can be attributed to the involvement of both the NDC and the NPP !!! Voters have always been grateful to both the NDC and the NPP for our roles in enlightening voters, and assistance during registration and voting exercises. Our numbers in Parliament reflect the trust citizens have in us. The faster the smaller Parties wake up, the better for them. Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah says misinformation if not managed properly, will undermine Ghana's democracy. The Minister made these remarks at the launch of ghanatoday.gov.gh in Accra on Monday. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah said "Misinformation if not managed will undermine Ghana's democracy hence the launch of the website" He added that the levels of misinformation the country is experiencing today would not have happened if sussesive administrations and government equipped the ISD. He touched on the inability of the department to keep up with the ever-changing media landscape and the technology that goes with it. He called for the support of all for the ISD now that the government has resourced it. "The website named ghanatoday.gov.gh is intended to aid the Department in the fight against misinformation by providing direct information from Ministries, Departments and Agencies about the works of government and becoming a repository of all happenings in government" he noted. The Information Minister also explained that the website is also expected to provide facts about government projects and programmes, full texts of all speeches by heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, official communications and publications, policies and program documents to reduce the level of misrepresentations and sometimes outright misinformation online. The Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah noted that he was confident that the ISD would be able to provide timely and credible information from across the country. The Minister's confidence steams from the fact that the ISD has department and officers in all 16 regions and 261 districts and would  be able to feed the website with accurate and timely information. "The ISD now has a state-of-the-art research department, an ultra-modern Public Relations Coordinating Division, and a  Media Division which will ensure that the Department  becomes a very vibrant institution for the dissemination of authentic information on government in order to keep the public well informed" WHY ISD IS EMBARKING ON THIS PROJECT He indicated that a significant section of the Ghanaian population now rely on online platforms and other social media platforms for information. He observed that some unscrupulous persons now use many of these portals and social media platforms to propagate falsehood and misinformation. The Acting Chief Information Officer, Mr David Owusu Amoah, on his part said that the ISD cannot control information due to media pluralism and information overload. He said the ISD can however manage the kinds of information that are churned out and was very delighted that the website has been set up for that purpose. Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum, has cautioned the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) and Principals of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutions, against preventing students from reporting to school for their studies due to their inability to procure items on the various prospectus given them. The Minister also advised the CHASS and Heads of TVET institutions against discouraging or preventing students from having access to education. Speaking at a meeting with the CHASS and Heads of TVET institutions, held in Kumasi in the Ashanti region, the Minister urged the various heads, to create an enabling environment for students, where they can study and excel. "There is no way any student should be turned away from school because the parents have not been able to procure some items on the school’s prospectus,” the Minister warned. He continued that: “At least, let them come to the school and the rest could be procured with some time.” The CHASS attended their meeting with the Minister, on Saturday, 11 March 2022, while the Heads of the TVET institutions held theirs on Sunday, 12 March 2023. The purpose of the meeting, which is held annually was to discuss the current state of the country’s educational system, new developments in the country’s educational system and the issues affecting them. Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has called on Heads of Second Cycle institutions across the country to stick to the approved harmonised prospectus for form one students. The GES also reminded Heads of Second Cycle institutions, that issuing unapproved prospectus and selling items supplied by government to students is prohibited. According to the GES, its attention has been drawn to reports that some Heads of Second Cycle schools across the country, are issuing unapproved prospectus to form one students and selling some of the items to students who report to their schools for admission. A statement issued by the GES, signed by the Acting Director for Schools and Instructions Division, Prince Charles Agyemang-Duah, noted some Heads are also selling “items that are supplied by government to the students.” “Management of the Ghana Education Service takes strong exception to this practice, and wishes to state unequivocally that the practice is prohibited and must cease with immediate effect,” the statement said. It indicated that “investigations will soon commence into the issues to ensure that the right things are done in our schools.” It stressed that “any Head of school caught demanding any item (s) aside the approved ones will be severely sanctioned.” “Parents should be allowed to buy the approved items on the prospectus from the open market not in the schools to avoid any conflict of interest on the part of the school authorities,” the statement added. Residents of Kasoa, a community in the Central Region have handed over a notorious female thief they arrested to the Liberian camp police station. According to the residents, the female notorious thief was arrested for stealing some items from a provision shop in the area. Residents say the notorious female thief acts like a mad woman in the area of which she uses to ran her robbery business. It is emerging that she plies her robbery business with her husband and a standby motor rider. Further information gathered indicates that her husband whom she has been doing the business with was sentenced to nine years in prison after he was arrested few months ago. The notorious female thief who doubles as a mother of three steals in order to feed her kids. The residents say they are fed up with her behaviour hence subjected her to a communal labour where she was made to distill a choked gutter from Ecobank junction to the Liberia camp stretch as her punishment.
