Some scores of Youths on Sunday stormed various drinking spots across the nation's capital to jubilate following the easing of restrictions by the first gentleman of the land, Nana Akufo-Addo.
With what seems to be an Independence Day, some sections of the youth drank, dance and partied hard till 4am of Monday morning.
At 'Junction Mall', 'Marvelous' and 'Care plan', all drinking spots in Taifa, a community in Accra, ThinkNewsOnline can confirm, most youths were without nose mask, face shield, sanitizers and also flouted the social distancing directives.
It will be recalled that President Akufo-Addo ban the opening of drinking spots and pubs due the increasing number of COVID-19 cases which were been recorded in the country.
While some drinking spot owners were adhering to the directive by closing their shops, others brushed aside President Akufo-Addo's directives saying they will operate with or without covid-19. Pubs around Bubiashie, Osu, East Legon, Lapaz , Kasoa were filled with people of which majority were youths.
The behavior of some youths at the various drinking spots left some elderly persons who patronised these joints wondered whether the lifting of the ban was a mistake or not.
