The Functional Executive Council (FEC) of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has replied to its former Executive, Stephen Atubiga saying, his decision to resign has denied the party an opportunity to educate him on certain issues.
In a release cited by Thinknewsonline.com and signed by the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, it said "FEC accepts your resignation and wishes to thank you for the support and sacrifices rendered to the party in the past. We wish to emphasize, however, that our decision to accept your resignation is not in any way an admission of the spurious and unfounded allegations contained in your letter. Rather we hold the view that your decision to resign has denied us the opportunity to educate you on many of the matter cited as the basis of your resignation"
It added that FEC on May 25 discussed the letter at length especially in the consideration of the purported reasons which informed his decision to resign.
