"You Pay Low Toll Rates Meanwhile You Want Good Roads" - Kwasi Amoako-Attah

The Minister for Road and Highways-designate, Kwasi Amoako-Attah has hit back at Ghanaians saying they pay low toll rates meanwhile they want good roads in the country.

According to him, if Ghanaians agree to pay more, they will see bigger transformation in the road sector in the country.

Answering questions at the Appointments Committee in Parliament on Tuesday, he said "Will Ghanaians be prepared to pay more for road toll as it is seen in other parts of the world. We pay the lowest rate; meanwhile, we want good roads"

He added that the last time tolls were increased, there was so much hue and cry in the country.

The Roads and Highways Minister-designate said "We all saw what happened in this country with drivers saying they will go on strike"
