WEIJA-GBAWE: Taxi Driver Found Dead (Pictures)

A taxi driver has been found dead at a dumpsite at Weija-Gbawe in the Greater Accra Region.

According to reports, the taxi driver has been missing for days until his body, was discovered at the dumpsite with his taxi parked not too far from him.

Little is known of events that led to his death, but the last time he was spotted was over the weekend parking his vehicle.

Some residents around the area where the incident took place said the deceased did not move his car until some colleagues went near his taxi to see his lifeless body at the dumpsite.

Many believe marital issues might have pushed the deceased to commit suicide as his wife left home with their children to her family house prior to his death.

The couple is said to have engaged in a heated argument after the deceased’s wife demanded a divorce.

The body has since been deposited at the morgue awaiting autopsy.

The police have seen launched further investigations into the incident.

In other developments, a 28-year-old met his untimely death after he was stabbed to death over pork at Kwadaso.

Eye witness account says the deceased friend stabbed him during an argument at a drinking spot in the town.

The deceased is said to have bought beer when he arrived at a drinking spot.

His friend identified as yaw is said to have picked a ladle and started stirring a saucepan containing meat continuously to the disappointment of Adu-Gyamfi who in return asked him to stop since the meat was for the public.

Adu-Gyamfi’s demand did not go down well with Yaw as he reacted angrily to this advice leading to the exchange of abusive words between the two friends.

Yaw who was suspected to be drunk at the time left the scene and armed himself with a kitchen knife and later rushed to the spot screaming “I’ll kill you!! I’ll kill you!! I’ll kill you!!”.

Since the late Adu-Gyamfi had left for the house at the time of his arrival, Yaw chased him and met him by a bush road, stabbed him multiple times in the right shoulder after wish he bolted.

He, therefore, managed to escape the scene and has since been declared wanted.
