The newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Okaiwei North Municipal Assembly, Christian Tetteh Badger, has vowed to uphold discipline within the Assembly's operations, especially among task force personnel.

“We will hire and fire,” Mr. Badger firmly stated in an exclusive interview with Thinknewsonline.com, stressing that anyone who flouts the Assembly’s code of conduct will be immediately dismissed and replaced.

He made these remarks after paying a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, at his palace on Thursday.

The visit, which coincided with the 13th anniversary of the passing of former President Professor John Evans Atta Mills, was part of the Assembly’s outreach efforts to seek blessings and foster collaboration with traditional authorities.

Mr. Badger, who was recently appointed by President John Dramani Mahama, reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to decongestion, sanitation, and development projects across the municipality.

He assured residents that a robust, disciplined task force — including sanitation, revenue, and city guard units — will be instituted to help enforce municipal bylaws and support the “Reset Agenda” for national transformation.

“We’re not just implementing policies — we’re building a better Okaikoi North with discipline, cleanliness, and engagement at the heart of it,” he added.

The MCE emphasized that while the Assembly will prioritize dialogue with residents, it will not hesitate to take action against misconduct within its ranks to uphold integrity and public trust.
