"We've To Commend GFA And The Security Personnel; They Did A Splendid Job" -Daniel Koranteng (VIDEO)

Ghanaian Sports Journalist with Accra-based Citi Tv/Fm, Daniel Koranteng has praised the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the security personnel for putting up a splendid performance at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.

According to him, both the organizers (GFA) and security personnel ensured that the 25% fans allowance which was announced by President Akufo-Addo was adhered to.

Giving his account on the score-card show, he said "There is only one place, to begin with; that is; we have to commend the organizers, Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the security personnel. They did a splendid job on the day"

"Now, we spoke about the importance of maintaining the 25% fans allowance there, the importance of not allowing over the number to gain access to the stadium and they did very well"

The Sports Journalist also added that the security personnel who were present at the stadium mounted roadblocks few meters in and around the stadium and prevent persons without appropriate accreditations from entering.

"In fact, only those with tickets and accreditation were allowed through those roadblocks into the stadium and that was a good job. You could see that there was heavy security present"

He further described the communication of the security personnel in and around the stadium as top-notch adding they assured fans with tickets and accreditation of their safety.

"If you were a fan with tickets and accreditation, they kept on assuring you that they were there for you, you had nothing to worry, don't be intimidated by their presence and that is what we want to see from them and you have to give them credit for that"

On his take on the super-clash, Mr. Koranteng commended the two teams for comporting themselves throughout the game.

"In fact, let me start from the fans first. Both sets of fans were brilliant. Look if you are talking about an advert for Ghana Football, this is a perfect advert from the organization to the security, to the fans, to the players, performers, to the Head Coaches; everything was on point. This is what we love to see"

He was confident that with what was witnessed at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, the bring-back-the-love campaign will yield good results.

Mr. Koranteng also mentioned that although Kotoko was a bit disappointed with the game, they gave Accra Hearts of Oak lots of headaches.

"We knew that based on form, Hearts were supposed to go out, boss the game and win but when you look at the recent history between these two teams, Kotoko always had the upper hand in terms of their big game temperament and that's what we wanted to see Hearts of Oak put a stop to"

"Everybody wanted to see the biggest test for Samuel Boadu since he came to Accra Hearts of Oak. It was this game, he had to prove himself on the biggest stage and he did excellently well in terms of the way he approached the game and the dominance. This game should easily have been more than one goal for Accra Hearts of Oak especially in the second half where based on first-half showings from Kotoko, the feeling around the stadium was that we will see a different Kotoko in the second half but it wasn't to be"
