"We Suspect A Case Of Impersonation And Are Still Investigating" – Okudzeto Ablakwa

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto has confirmed the allegations of impersonation leveled against the NPP caucus by a section of the NDC.

Mr. Ablakwa, speaking on Joy FM confirmed that his side has taken note of the suspected impersonation of Dome Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, and are still investigating the matter.

In a rather interesting twist to yesterday’s drama in parliament that saw a budget that was rejected last Friday, suddenly adopted by the same house that rejected it, the NDC is now claiming that an impostor was foisted upon the house by the NPP caucus in order to get the right numbers to overturn last Friday's decision.

Parliament, yesterday ‘unanimously’ overruled last Friday’s dramatic rejection of the 2022 budget after a one-sided house had their way just like last week’s turn of events.

It was the Minority’s turn to boycott Parliament is yet another dramatic fiasco as a full complement of majority MPs voted to overturn last Friday's decision by the house.

1st deputy speaker, Joe Osei Owusu sat in for the Right Honorable Speaker who is currently in the United Arab Emirates for a medical review.

However, following the events of yesterday, the NDC is now claiming that the honorable MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo was absent in Parliament and was discreetly replaced with an ‘impostor’ in a mask to sit in for her.

The allegation was first made by Bobie Ansah on Accra FM and has since generated widespread conversation on social media.

According to Mr. Ablakwa, they are still investigating the matter and if their suspicions are correct, the necessary steps will be taken afterward.
