A Physically Challenged Degree Holder, Delali Agbosu has revealed that a wrong medication by a doctor rendered her disabled at age 4.
According to her, she took ill when she was young adding after seeking medical care, a negligent health professional shuttered her world leaving her in such state.
In an interview with an Accra-based television station, Delali Agbosu said "I cannot recall what happened vividly but I was told I was given an injection at the hospital and was unable to walk after I was brought home"
She added that her biological mother abandoned her due to her condition adding it was her father who went through thick and thin to cater for her till he died.
Delali Agbosu revealed that despite her condition, she defied all odds and furthered her education.
She said "Despite my condition, I was able to attend school and graduate from Accra Technical University (ATU) in 2012. I studied Secretarial and Management and walked away with a degree"
Madam Agbosu also revealed she took a short course in Broadcast Journalism since it has been her passion to be a News Anchor but her present condition has made her lose job opportunities.
She however thanked 'Wilson', her former colleague from ATU adding he has been supporting her financially.
Narrating her sad ordeal, Delali disclosed she has a daughter but the fathered abandoned them a month after the child was born.
She asked for God's blessing upon her landlord and family adding they have been washing her clothes for her.
She appealed to Philanthropists and well-to-do persons in the society to come to her aid.
She appealed to heads of various organisations not to look down on persons with disabilities when seeking for jobs adding being disabled does not mean she or they (persons with disabilities) can not be productive.
