Film Producer and Actor, Umar Krupp has condemned Ghanaian movies on Netflix saying the contents shot and produced are not strong enough to represent the country.
According to him, the contents produced by Nigerians are far better than what some Ghanaian movie producers claim they have created.
Speaking in an interview on the ‘On-Spot Show’ on Think Tv, Umar Krupp said “What I did, was to put myself on a particular level in the industry. I am now about to do the movies that I want to do for Ghanaians to see but not what our Ghanaian producers have fast forward themselves to go and represent Ghanaians at Netflix. Those Ghanaian movies are not strong movies to represent Ghanaians based on what Nigerians are shooting and putting on Netflix”
“And the people who are able to shoot or produce those movies are there. I am not scared of any movie producer or anybody in Ghana. I do my movies on my own. The people who are supposed to make that movie are there to make the movies but because, ' oh why him', so, let it be this person and yes, we hate each other. For me, I don't have time for any actor, producer or any director in Ghana, I do my thing at my right time when I want to do it”
