The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade, has confirmed that this year's Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has been scheduled for August 2020.
According to her, the move comes after President after eased some restrictions on social gathering as part of measures of preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Speaking on an Accra-based television station on Sunday, Madam Ayoade said “The challenges of putting together logistics and not being sure of expected revenue is a real issue. In normal times, we will have been able to sell up to 4,000 tickets in VGMA-related events, but it is not so now"
She also confirmed that her team are working around the clock to entertain the masses with to bring the best of music and awards despite the rise in cases recorded in the country.

She stressed that Charterhouse will be considering the good usage of the digital space likewise the guidelines stated by the Tourism Ministry, Arts and Culture.
She mentioned that unlike the 3Music Awards, the upcoming VGMA 2020 will be ensuring that the a social distancing and health protocols during its live audience.
She said "Preparations have gone into making sure that Ghanaian artistes in other countries and audiences, who cannot come to the show, can join virtually"
She says she believes Charterhouse will add more touch to this year's upcoming event.
“It may not be exactly as it used to be in the past but obviously, with what is happening now, it’s going to be a downscale version,” she said.
