The National Women's Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Abena Gyamfua has condemned the attack and gruesome lynching to death of the 90-year-old woman accused of witchcraft at Kafaba in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
According to her, the open lynching to death of the old woman is unaccepted adding that the ladies who carried such heinous crime must be arrested.
In a statement signed by the National Women's Organiser, it said "As a mother and a leader, I condemn unequivocally and state that nobody has the right to accuse anyone of being a witch or wizard or have the audacity to even lead an attack on such persons, so all those who are fond of indulging in such negative and barbaric acts, must desist from them"
The National Women's Organiser called on authorities to investigate and prosecute those involved in the heinous crime.
"All the women fraternity in the NPP and I, do commiserate with the bereaved family and pray for the comfort of the Lord in these difficult times" she said.
It is emerging that a self-styled Priestess called Fatima led a group of women in the community to lynch the old woman.
ThinkNewsOnline has gathered that wherever Priestess Fatima has stayed, she has perpetrated such acts.
