Two suspects involved in the Democracy Hub demonstration case are currently receiving medical treatment at the Police Hospital in Accra after reporting ill health, the Ghana Police Service has confirmed.
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, suspect Fanny Otoo complained of feeling unwell while the suspects were being prepared for court proceedings.
In response, the Police escorted him to the Police Hospital, where doctors attended to his condition and later admitted him for further medical care.
Similarly, suspect Oliver Barker-Vormawor, a key figure in the case, also reported feeling sick late Tuesday night.
He was promptly taken to the Police Hospital, where medical personnel assessed his health and admitted him for treatment.
The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that the suspects have been provided with all necessary medical attention and at no point were they denied access to healthcare.
