"The Killing Of Kaaka Mohammed Was Repulsive And Unacceptable" - NIM

The Leadership of the National Interest Movement (NIM), says it finds the gruesome killing of #FixTheCountry convenor, Kaaka Mohammed was repulsive and unacceptable.

According to NIM, it believes no Ghanaian must be subjected to violent abuse and attack for holding a different view to others.

In a statement signed by its founder, Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster said "The police must take immediate action to establish the real motives and identity of his killers and bring them to justice. Whilst we do not yet have the full details of the killing of Mohammed Anyass Ibrahim (Kaaka) by a mob, the circumstances of his death demand a full investigation"

The statement further added all the alleged perpetrators and other named suspects must be immediately invited to assist the police with their investigation of the killing.

Dr. Sakara Foster also hinted that the government must ensure that the police force approaches the investigation with the same zeal and urgency as for the recent killing of the police officer by armed robbers at Jamestown.

"Such effort must be no less than was deployed for investigation of the mob killing of Major Mahama a while ago. The deaths of Major Mahama and the Police Officer were of state agents in the line of duty. Mr. Kaaka Anyars Ibrahim was a civilian that died in the exercise of his democratic rights. Kaaka Anyars Ibrahim died a lone sentinel on guard duty in the active defence of our democracy. His death deserves a speedy investigations" it added.
