News coming in indicates that Tanzania’s President, Samia Suluhu Hassan has cancelled the country’s upcoming Idependence Day celebrations scheduled for Friday December 9.
According to President Hassan, the budget set for the celebration should be used to build dormitories for children with special needs.
The 61st Independence Day event was expected to cost the country $445,000.
The President hinted that said money could build eight dormitories in primary schools around the country.
