TAKORADI: Three In Police Custody For Faking A Kidnapping Incident

The Takoradi Divisional Police Command says it has arrested three suspects for faking a kidnap and demanding a ransom of Five-Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc5,000) in the region.

According to the police, the suapects include; Krah, aged 29; Susana Awortwe, aged 27 and Francis Eshun, aged 27.

In a statement sighted by Thinknewsonline.com it said "Reports indicate that the suspect, Joana Krah conspired with the other two suspects; Susan Awortwe and Francis Eshun, to frign her kidnapping on Friday, October 22, 2021, after which a call was placed to her father in demand for the ransom"

The statement further explained that when Joana became aware that her adopted father had reported to the Police and an extensive search had commenced to find her, she turned up to confess that it was a joke.
