SUNYANI CORONATION PARK: Referee Beaten For Awarding A Penalty To Away Team (Video+Pics)


Referee Maxwell Hanson has received the beatings of his life earlier today at the Sunyani Coronation Park for awarding a penalty to Division 1 side, Real Tamale United (RTU) in their game against B.A. United.


According to sources, some officials and supporters of the home side, B. A United lose their cool after the center referee pointed to the spot in the favor of their opponent.




It is emerging that the officials and some supporters rushed on the pitch, chased the Referee, and gave him some beating.


After receiving the beating from the home side, it is emerging that Referee Handson rescinded his spot-kick decision.




Sources say the police officer on the field could not control the crowd as they were outnumbered.


In other developments, the head coach of Berekum Chelsea Football Club has received his fair share of beatings at the Dawu Park.




It is also emerging that the unfortunate incident happened after the home side, Dreams FC lost to Berekum Chelsea.


The Head Coach is currently on admission at the Dawu Hospital receiving treatment.
