The Management of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has confirmed that a speeding Sprinter Bus has knocked and killed a first year student of its Institution.
According the school Management, the unfortunate incident occurred at Ayensuduo, near the UCC satellite campus of the Nduom School of Business and Technology.
In a statement signed by the Public Affairs Director of the University and sighted by Thinknewsonline.com, it said 'The student, Priscilla Owusu Achia, 19, was in the company of some friends to buy food items when the Sprinter Bus which was overtaking another bus knocked her"
It added that the family of the deceased student have been contacted.
The UCC Management further hinted that the police have commenced investigations into the unfortunate accident.
