President Akufo-Addo has hinted that the much-talked-about same-sex marriage will never be legalized in Ghana.
According to him, it will never happen under his watch.
President Akufo-Addo said "I have said this before and let me conclude stress it now. It will not be under the Presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo that same-sex-marriage will be legalized"
The call comes after scores of CSO, Religious Organisation and Institutes have been kicking against the legalization of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual and Transgenders (LGBT) in Ghana.
It will be recalled that the European Union and the Australian High Commission to Ghana graced the opening of an LGBT Headoffice in Accra weeks ago.
The opening of the office left much talking and asking whether Ghana was going to give room for LGBT.
In series of Ministerial Vettings, almost all the Minister-designates have one way or the other spoken against LGBT.
Although the LGBT community in Ghana says they are not happy about their rights being infringed upon, ThinkNews Online has gathered that the Gays and Lesbians have vowed to fight for their human rights.
Meanwhile, the recently opened LGBT office has been shut down.
