Owner and bankroller of Division One outfit Berekum Arsenal, Alhaji Yakubu Moro is confirmed dead.
The renowned football administrator succumbed to death in the early hours of Friday at the Ridge hospital in Accra after a short illness.
Under his guidance, Berekum Arsenal, who currently plays in Division One won promotion to the Ghana Premier league in 2000 till 2013 when they were relegated.
In 2006, Berekum Arsenal qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup but was eliminated in the second round by Angolan giants Petro Atletico.
The date and time of Alaji Yakubu Moro’s burial are yet to be announced, but per the Islamic convention, the veteran football administrator is likely to be laid to rest on Friday in Berekum.
