President Akufo-Addo Accepts Carlos Ahenkorah's Resignation

President Akufo-Addo has accepted the resignation letter from the office of the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah which takes immediate effect.


The move comes after the Deputy Minister admitted breaching the COVID-19 protocols.


In a statement signed by Director of Communications, Office of President, Eugene Arhin, it said "A person certified to be positive for the virus, visited a registration centre in his Constituency before the period of self-isolation was completed"


The statement further added that President Akufo-Addo is admonishing all of his appointees to bear in mind that they are to provide leadership at all times.


Mr. Arhin also revealed that President Akufo-Addo has accepted the letter and has wished Carlos Ahenkorah well.
