The National Security Task Force (NSTF) has announced the deployment of police and military personnel to guarantee the safety of the Electoral Commission's (EC) re-collation process in outstanding constituencies.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, assured the public that the National Security Task Force (NSTF) has committed to providing the required security to ensure a peaceful and transparent process.

She disclosed that earlier delays resulted from the police's inability to guarantee safety due to prevailing security concerns.

However, with the NSTF’s intervention, adequate measures are now in place.

ACP Ansah-Akrofi also appealed to political parties to avoid encouraging their supporters to gather at collation centres, stressing the need to maintain calm and preserve the peace throughout the process.
