"Ooobaak3-Akwaaba should not bring division among us" – Ga Mantse
His Royal Majesty, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse, has urged calm and unity amidst the recent controversy surrounding the “Ooobaak3-Akwaaba” debate.
According to the King, such issues must not divide the Ga-Dangbe and other tribes.
Speaking during a church service to mark the anniversary celebration of Maranatha Power Ministries International at its headquarters in Nungua, Accra, the Ga Mantse emphasized the need for unity and mutual respect among the Ga State and beyond.
“We don’t have to fight among ourselves. We are one people. This should not cause us to be at each other’s neck,” he said, stressing that solidarity among citizens was vital to national progress.
King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II also called on the public to desist from using unprintable language in public discourse, especially when addressing sensitive cultural matters.
The King, who lifted the spiritual atmosphere with spirited praise and worship songs, encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in faith and continue trusting in God.
During the event, he offered prayers for the church’s leadership and members and announced plans by the Ga State to visit churches within its jurisdiction as part of efforts to build stronger relationships and community engagement.
Bishop Noble Francis Afotey, General Overseer of Maranatha Power Ministries International, expressed deep appreciation to the Ga Mantse for honoring their invitation.
He also called for more frequent interactions between the Ga leadership and the church.
Bishop Afotey joined the Ga Mantse in calling for unity across the Ga State, praying for peace and harmony to prevail.
