NORTHERN REGION: Final Year Student Arrested For Attacking School's Security Man


A 22-year-old final year student of Northern School of Business Senior High School (NOBISCO) in Tamale in the Northern Region is in the grips of the police for allegedly attacking the security man of the school.


According to sources, the security man whose name was given as Abdul Rahman was hit with a heavy object by the final year student.

It is emerging that the boy was caught at 2am, having sex with a female colleague on campus.


ThinkNewsOnline has gathered that in an attempt to chase some students who were said to be disturbing and misbehaving, the culprit ceased the opportunity and hit the security man with a heavy block.

Sources say the security man was rushed to the Tamale West Hospital, but was later referred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

The Northern Regional Crimes Officer, Superintendent Otuo Acheampong confirming the incident said "The final year student has since been apprehended" He added that the student has since denied hitting the security man with the block but rather claims he only pushed him which resulted in his fall.

The incident was reported to the police by the Assistant Headmaster of the school.


The police says it is expecting Mr Rahman, who is currently at the hospital to submit his statement upon his discharge.

Meanwhile, the final year female colleague who was caught in the act with the boy has been released from police custody.
