Nii Lantey Vanderpuye resigns as National Coordinator of DRIP

Former Member of Parliament for Odododiodio and National Coordinator of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), Hon. Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, has officially resigned from his position to pursue a National Executive role within the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a statement announcing his resignation, Mr. Vanderpuye said the decision followed careful reflection and was motivated by his desire to continue serving the NDC and Ghana in a different capacity.

"It has been a great honour and privilege to serve His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama and the people of Ghana in this role," he stated, expressing gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the DRIP initiative.

According to him, the District Road Improvement Programme has played a significant role in improving local infrastructure and enhancing the lives of people in communities across the country.

Mr. Vanderpuye noted that his decision to step down was not a departure from public service but rather a transition into another avenue through which he hopes to contribute to national development and the strengthening of democratic institutions.

"My resignation is to enable me pursue a National Executive position within our great party, the National Democratic Congress. This decision is driven by my desire to continue serving our party and country in a different capacity," he explained.

The former National Coordinator reaffirmed his unwavering support for President John Dramani Mahama and the vision of his administration, stressing that he remains committed to the ideals and objectives of the NDC.

He expressed satisfaction with the achievements recorded under his tenure and conveyed confidence in the future success of the DRIP programme.

"I leave office with immense gratitude, proud of the work we have accomplished together and optimistic about the future of DRIP," he said.

Mr. Vanderpuye concluded his statement by praying for God's guidance and blessings for Ghana as citizens continue to work collectively towards national progress.
