Nephew beheads 65-year-old woman at Breman-Benin

A 65-year-old woman, Madam Abena Gladys, has been brutally murdered by her nephew, identified as Kojo Sam, in the Breman-Benin community of the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District in the Central Region.

According to reports, the gruesome incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025.

The suspect allegedly broke into his aunt’s room armed with a pestle, struck her multiple times, dragged her outside, stabbed her repeatedly, and finally beheaded her.

It is emerging that the act appeared unprovoked.

Some residents and relatives disclosed that the suspect had previously threatened to kill Madam Gladys during family disputes.

However, the family had opted to resolve the matter privately without involving law enforcement.

After the attack, the suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended through swift police intelligence.

He is currently in custody assisting with investigations.

The entire Breman-Benin community remains in deep shock and mourning over the horrific killing of Madam Abena Gladys.
