Some scores of supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Effutu Constituency have vandalized the party's constituency office in protest against the government’s decision not to appoint James Kofi Annan, the party’s 2024 Parliamentary Candidate, to a key position.

The disgruntled supporters, who took to the streets on Friday, stormed the office and destroyed property, including furniture, windows, and party paraphernalia.

They expressed disappointment with the government for overlooking James Kofi Annan, whom they believe played a pivotal role in the party's activities during the last election.

According to the protesters, James Kofi Annan is a highly competent and dedicated party member who deserved recognition through an appointment.

They accused the party's leadership of failing to advocate for him and neglecting the interests of the grassroots.
